Wordless Wednesday - Meet "Viro" the Peacock

Mica was obsessed with peacocks the first time we took him to the zoo. Kind of an odd obsession for a boy, but it makes him unique.
One of Mica's newest drawings of peacock named, "Viro". Behind Viro is a white picket fence. He's at the zoo. That is why there are buildings in the picture.
  • When he was three, at preschool he disagreed with the person that was taking him around a farm; that there were in fact peacocks on farms. There are peacocks on some farms, but not on the one that he went to. Aunt Terra was sort of jabbing him in cue to be quiet.
  • I got Mica the Folkmanis Peacock Puppet two Christmas's ago.  His name is, "Viro" and sleeps with Mica every night.
Viro the peacock was Mica's reference for his drawing above.

Wonderful picture! My daughter is currently obsessed with peacocks after our peacock craft a couple weeks ago. We checked out every peacock themed book from the library we could find. I'd recommend
Just plain fancy by Patricia Polacco
The spooky tail of Prewitt peacock by Bill Peet
Three Hens and a Peacock by Lester L. Laminack
That puppet looks fabulous. Folkmanis is the best.
