Sing, Sing a Song Saturday

I started doing what I call Sing, Sing a Song Saturday.  I'm going to post one song on Saturdays that the boys or I like.

The song may be part of a movie, a kid's video or just a song we like. I'll try and include why we like it and/or the history of the song/singer.

This week I'm covering someone that most of you will know. Well he was popular, then he decided to disappear for awhile. I don't really blame him. Being a star would really take it's toll on someone I would think. His previous stage name was Cat Stephens. That is before he changed his name to Yusuf Islam.

I wondered if he would would still have it. Sometimes people loose a little bit of something if they haven't sang in awhile. He went on a road to peace and happiness. He wanted to find those things within himself. I heard he returned to the music scene, but I didn't much give him a shot.

Here's an Interview with Yusuf Islam.

I don't know if I remember him... maybe I have heard him and just didn't know any of his songs.

I really like Cat Stevens. My dad always listened to him growing up because my dad always listened to his cassette tapes in the car!
