Last week I was introduced to an instrument that I have never seen before called a Hammered Dulcimer over at Golch Central's Rambling Stuff.

He layers sounds together using the Hamered Dulcimer, mini drum kit, and adds technology. He started as a drummer. Much of his music is approached by thinking of rhythm first. Then he adds different sounds on top of that.
He's played in the US, Africa and Canada.

I've never heard of that instrument, either, but it has a pretty neat sound.
He makes that look effortless. It sounds great too.
Dulcimers are common here, but I have never seen one like that before.
super cool!!!!
What a unique instrument. I have never heard or seen one before. You teach me something new every Saturday.
I haven't heard of that one either, but I do like the soft sound it makes. He plays it really beautifully!
Very interesting.. the first time I've heard of this instrument too!
