WW: Veggie House {Linky}

I saw a veggie house on Pinterest. I decided to tackle it. My husband decided he wanted to try it.

Gingerbread House

Dad said, "What do you want me to do, while you make cookies?" I told him, "Put together the gingerbread house, and I'll decorate it."

Well he opened it up, and it was all together. He said, "Ok then I'm just going to decorate it then."

That's what the boys did. I did hear some disagreements about how things were going to look. They are my sons.

Whenever I asked for a photo they A) Were not looking. B) Were moving. or C) Made funny faces. BUT beggars can't be choosers. They got the project done. Plus it looks nice.

Gingerbread House

Daddy and Mica started making the foundation of our gingerbread house shortly before Christmas. Daddy worked on the roof. I just love the icicles hanging down! They were going to finish it on Christmas Eve day, but Mica had to go to the Urgent Care to get his ear infection treated. On Christmas night I finished it.

I used Fruit Roll-ups for the door and windows. The stepping stones are gumdrops that were cut in 1/2.

Some type of holly bush is on the side yard.

A holly tree is on this side yard.

I thought I'd feel annoyed finishing this thing. I had many more things to work on! I wanted the mess to go away. In order for that to happen, the project kind of needs to get finished, right?

I actually felt the opposite of annoyed. It was fun and peaceful. Isaak tried helping, but he was more or less bumping into me. Daddy called him away.

We don't make ours to eat. It's just decoration. We had it on the table when guests were over for our dance party.

WW: Preschool Crafts {Linky}

Isaak brought home a few crafts from preschool early last week:

He was so proud of his angel. As soon as a complimented him on his beautiful angel, I turned around and could not stop laughing. I was laughing because it's so cute. It's mixed with pretty wings and a rough kid drawing of a face.

Then when the children passed away at the school in Sandy Hook Elementary I looked at Isaak's angel sitting there on our table and cried. He has no idea that his little angel has a new meaning now.

He also made this cute Gingerbread House:

Gingerbread Houses

Mica's teacher got an assistant. This is great. I think she needs one. Every teacher should have an assistant. It makes life easier!

Daddy came to pick up Mica on Friday. Everyone was out of the building, so he thought. Mica's class was no where to be found. He asked someone, "Hey do you know where the Kindergarten class is at?" The teacher he asked said, "Oh the Kindergarten classes are running a bit behind!"

Out the door come Mr. Prince with the Kindergartener's. Evidently they built Gingerbread Houses. Mr. Prince told Daddy, "Mica ate a lot of frosting!" Mr Prince looks tired. Could you imagine helping not one, but many Kindergartener's make their own Gingerbread Houses? It makes me tired just thinking about it!

It turned out pretty good!

The blurry part in the foreground is Isaak's fingers. Mica wanted to devour this as soon he got home. Isaak wanted to devour it as soon as he saw it. Dinner first, more sugar later. They didn't eat it in one setting. Nope, it took two. Cavities and diabetes here we come.
