Avengers: Infinity War

No spoil alerts here!

Our house is divided. Mica loves superhero movies, Isaak likes them, Travis and I are tired of them. Travis took the boys to see Black Panther. Otherwise my older sister has taken the boys to see many superhero movies.

For the last 2 weeks we've listened to Mica go on and on about Avengers: Infinity War.

Jimmy Kimmel had Avengers characters on all week.

This morning I had enough of Avengers: Infinity War.

Me: Mica Hulk dies in that movie.

Mica: No! Don't tell me spoilers Mom! How do you know anyway?

Me: They've been on Jimmy Kimmel all week long.

Mica Annoyed With Me: Really Mom! You're messing up the movie for me!

Travis: Mica Mom is just messing with you.

I have no clue what happens in the movie!

Later on during breakfast:

Mica: What's in that bag?

Me: It's a surprise.

Isaak looking in the bag: Wow that is cool!

Me: Isaak you shouldn't of looked in the bag! It's a surprise!

At the end of the day:

Mica thought for sure the bag had Avengers: Infinity War tickets. He was pissed when he found out the bag just had my sample meds in it from the doctor's office.

Don't feel too bad for Mica. He's going to Avengers: Infinity War with Aunt Angela next weekend.

Are you a fan of superhero movies, or getting sick of them like me?

WW: Superheroes {Linky}

My nephew Emerson has Trisomy 18. He wasn't expected to live. In the hospital they call his condition incompatible with life. He just turned 5. He walked all over during his birthday party; with a superhero cape on the back of his walker.

Happy Birthday Emerson!

Here's his family. My sister, nephews and brother-in-law:

My nephew Evan and Elijah. My boys are close to them because they are the same ages as them.

My son's Mica and Isaak.

My youngest nephew that gets all the attention because he copies whatever the boys say or do, Edison.

I convinced my dad to get a picture. ;) What a sport!

Superhero Party

I saved the best photo's for this upcoming Wednesday. I do like these to! The Y had a Superhero Party. I offered to take Cousin's Evan and Elijah as well. We made a night of it. I took off work an hour early to pick everyone up at different places, got dinner and off the Superhero's went to the Y. They had fun!

Isaak wouldn't take his mask off for anything! All night he pretended to shoot webs.

There was plenty of this going on before the party:

I'm so glad they split everyone up into two groups! Cousins that are the same age stayed together and brothers got split up. YAY for me! I didn't want wrestling going on all night long.

Happy Birthday Mica

Mica,

You turned 6 today! Happy Birthday! You start Kindergarten next week! I'm both nervous and excited for you. I can't believe how time flies!

I ran into your name a few times. One night I fell asleep on the couch and woke up to this on the TV:
Found here
Turns out there's a famous ski resort in Heli Canada named Mica. Kind of odd to wake up with that on the TV!

Then I was thumbing through a graphic design book and saw this:

Found here
It stands for Maryland Institute College of Art. Perfect! I do think it's odd that Institute and College are in the same name of a school. It's still cool that M | I | C / A is an art school!

You were actually named after this:

Found here
That shimmery stuff on a rock is called, "Mica." This type of Mica is sometimes added to paint. You took a rock to preschool last school year to show your friends "Mica."

I call you "Mica Moose" a lot. I'm not sure if you truly believe me, but I told you a story about how you were going to grow moose horns out of your head. For awhile I told you that you had to take a bath, so your moose horns would grow. You told a few family members about your horns. You might have believed me.

Your moose horns may not be growing, but the rest of you is growing like a weed! I swear you will be one of the tallest boys in your class.

You have proved doctors wrong in many areas. You were born with a cyst under your tongue. Doctors said you may never eat or talk right. They sent us to countless doctor appointments, to get an MRI done and to speech therapy. You eat a lot and talk our ears off! You had a funky crawl and limped when you first started walking. Doctors didn't know what to think of this! You now run and jump all over the place. You had a staph infection that baffled the doctors when you were 7 months old. You got through that too! I'm so glad you are healthy!

You are pretty literal; tell it like it is. At the same time you love to dress up with a button up shirt and tie. You also like to play dress up by being a pirate, magician, cowboy and super hero.

Is he planking, or flying?

The things you like playing with right now are: Transformers, Hot Wheels, the game Rush Hour, Lego's, anything Toy Story and Team GeoTrax.

Buzz Lightyear, Superman and Indiana Jones are your hero's!

You now love to color. With coloring, it was like a light bulb that went off in your mind. All the sudden you wanted to color. Before the light bulb went off, you wanted nothing to do with crayons.

An alien in a spaceship.

We swear you will be into something like dance, track, gymnastics or karate. Some type of individual sport. Maybe one of these sports will channel your energy!

You are my story teller, artist and my handsome boy.

I love you very much,

Mommy

Captain Nerds

That's what Aunt Angela called our boy's; when she walked in and saw them dressed up in their superhero costumes. LOL Mica of course corrected her and said, "I'm Superhero Lightning and Isaak's Superhero Star."

They do look nerdish! But they love their superhero costumes. Grandma and Grandpa Apel gave them their capes for Christmas and the Easter Bunny brought them their masks and wrist guards. Mica kept telling me what each button does on his wrist guards {which they do nothing}. Isaak kept asking me to press his button's. I did and made sound effects. He thought that was oh so funny!
