This week we had our work Christmas party.
We had to bring a $5 gag. I brought a pink golf green set. Mica picked it out at his Jump Rope for Heart event last year. He could pick anything on a table and picked out that! Needless to say, it was never used. I also put in some other random things.
I kept going back and forth from steeling a coffee press with a bottle of wine and a remote control truck. Both were way beyond the $5 item we were supposed to bring. Really it comes down to the fact that people bring whatever they don't use.
Here's what I ended up with:
I knew Daddy would be thinking, "Oh great another thing we own." He's been
nesting cleaning and trying to get rid of things.
As soon as I walked in the door with my remote control truck the boys said, "YES! I want to play with that!" Daddy said, "That's Mommy's! She never said you could play with that!" I said, "Yep it's mine." The boys went on and on saying, "That's not fair!"
I smiled and said, "Ok it's yours to share."
It had to be charged for 24 hours, or something crazy like that.
Last night they finally got to play with it. They were driving it like they were both drunk. It was running into EVERYTHING. Daddy
the nester was getting all frazzled. I said, "Just go check your email. I'll make dinner. They'll figure out how to drive that thing in no time."
The truck has been the main source of entertainment around here.
