Isaak helped me put together this healthish football plate.
We went to Daddy's co-worker's house for the game. I talked with the Mom of the house most of the time. The boys played with their kids. One is in 1st grade, and the other is in 3rd grade. Just a grade up from my kids.
I'm not into football. I have to say that I did my best to not complain. Probably the funniest thing about the game was Payton Manning's facial expressions. I know his face and name because he originally played for the Nebraska Corn Huskers (yes I know it's very hick sounding football team). Then Mr. Manning was on our local news for awhile. He talked about sports.
I did like the 1/2 time show!
Many of the commercials were online before the big game. I saw most of them before.
The funniest thing to me (remember I don't get into sports much) were the matching mouth guards. I just cracked up over that. I was like, "Really matching mouth guards? These are men, and they have to be all matchy?" Daddy was like, "They are always that way."
In the end I ate way too much crap. I've been paying for it today. I should have stuck with eating plain chicken and veggies all night.
Did you watch the game?

I ate too much crap, too! I did 2 spin classes to make up for it, though.
The funniest part of the game, for me, was when the Great Scot said: "it was the UN-Manning of Peyton!"
I think people eat more during Super Bowl Sunday than they even do during Thanksgiving!!
The food is always the best part for me. I took my niece and nephew upstairs to play so the adults could watch the game in peace. After about 5 minutes of game watching, they demanded I put Dora on. Dora won since the game sucked. I did insist on watching the halftime show though!
I never got into sports. I didn't know the super bowl was on until my wife mentioned it.
I thought you had to have lots of greasy things like barbecue and chicken wings and such at football parties?
we watched -- for the commercials...
the game stunk... and so did the commercials ... ha haha
The plate looks good!
I wanted Manning to win because it wasn't all that long ago he had some pretty serious injuries and they didn't know if he was going to play again. I thought that would have been nice.
And I don't think Cornhuskers sounds like a hick name, goodness no (to quote my 6 yr. old's favorite saying). :) That's Big 10 you're talking about. :)
I'm not into football either. I didn't watch the game. I do know who won, but only because of my facebook feed, lol.
That is a very cute and creative football plate! What a great idea and at least there were healthy veggies in it!
