Pure Organic Raw Unrefined Organic Shea Butter Review

Shea butter is one of natures best gifts to the world of organic cosmetics. It can be used as an organic base or ingredient, and in its natural form applied directly to skin and hair. Cornucopia Brands sells a Shea Butter that's unrefined and virgin.

You can buy shea butter on Amazon for $14.55.

I've used shea butter to make deodorant, my own lip balm, and just to rub in the skin.

It did look interesting when I opened the container. It's much like coconut oil, once you put it onto your skin it melts, and soaks in.

Prime Ingredient

Often times unrefined pure shea butter is the primary ingredient in many moisturizing products. Accounts from as early as Cleopatra's Egypt speak of caravans bearing clay jars of valuable shea butter for cosmetic use.

The funeral beds of early kings were carved in the wood of shea trees.

Today shea butter is still used. It can be used straight on the skin, or mixed with other ingredients to make moisturizer, conditioners, deodorant, lip balms, soaps, creams, and more.

Cornucopia packages their brand in a 14 ounce container. It weighs just 1 ounce shy of 1 pound.

Is it edible? I mean, is it really "butter" that you could cook with? I've never heard of it, and it does seem unlikely , but I thought I would ask.

Nope it's not edible.

I use shea butter in the winter time for dry skin and even in GG's hair. I can't use too much in her hair but it really helps her dry ends and curls.
