WW: Basquiat {linky}

I've always liked Jean-Michel Basquiat's work. It's raw, but interesting and unlike some of modern work it has a focal point. There was a movie called Basquiat. David Bowie played one of Basquiat's best friend's Andy Warhol.

Bowie looks like Andy Warhol here, right?

We got a chance to see a Basquiat at the Joslyn Art Museum in Omaha, Nebraska.

I like that piece. I am usually drawn to street art and graffiti, so this fits right in with my taste in artwork.

I remember that movie, it was with Jeffrey Wright from Westworld. Nice example of his work.

I haven't seen the movie but yes, David Bowie definitely looks like Andy Warhol in the picture. ☺ Interesting artwork; has a street art feel to it.

I'm clearly not the only one who's not seen the movie, and another one who'll be seeking it out!

Really like the painting you shared. I have to look into this artist and as I don't follow much art but do enjoy museums from time to time. Thanks for linking this post with us at #OMHGWW!
