The Amazing Pizza Machine Party Giveaway

If you have a moment, go enter this giveaway to win a free birthday party hosted at The Amazing Pizza Machine! *Valued at $159.99!

Last year Isaak only had 1 child show up to his party. Mica's has had fun parties in the past where almost everyone he invited showed up. I'd love to throw Isaak a fun surprise party.

One where he doesn't look like this:

But instead looks like this:

He's such a great kid! Other kids like him. It's just that many families don't send their kids to parties unless it's at a place - other than someone's home.

Have you been to Amazing Pizza Machine? It's a fun place to have a party for sure!

Zen Ties Review

We were fortunate enough to go to another show at The Rose Theater in Omaha, Nebraska. The show is called Zen Ties.

What I loved is that The Rose Theater had 200 Beanie Baby Pandas to giveaway to the kids that walked through the door. That put a smile on my kid's faces right off the bat.

Never mind Dad admiring The Rose Theater's ceiling. It is a pretty building! This was the best picture of Mica. Isaak was refusing to look at me. He to was happy to have a panda.

The set design was simple. The props on the sides are bamboo. They pulled in a house, a bed, and a couch on wheels throughout the show. One prop that was consistent throughout were red balloons.

Show Description:

When Koo the Panda visits her Uncle Stillwater, he offers her a special challenge: LISTEN. In order for her to talk, she had to think up a 17 syllables (like a haiku poem). In the quiet, they discover people are not always what they seem. With Stillwater’s positive influence, children in his neighborhood learn there may be more to old Mrs. Whittaker’s story than they thought. A gentle tale about patience and compassion, Zen Ties reminds us how much wisdom can come of simple mindfulness.

Zen Ties has been adapted for The Rose stage by playwright Y York from the book by Caldecott Honor author and artist Jon Muth. “There is a theme that runs through all of Y’s work,” says Rose artistic director Matthew Gutschick. “She views the world with empathetic eyes, and it is that viewpoint that makes her the perfect person to adapt this story for the stage.”

Zen Ties will be presented for the first time on The Rose stage, an endeavor made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts. “This is a very special project for me,” says York. “When I was presented with Zen Ties, it was almost as if the characters were already dancing for me. I was excited to bring them to life on stage.”

What we thought:

We all enjoyed this show. It made my kids understand that it's important to think before they talk. Sometimes the people that we have problems with in life can be an asset to our lives.

I love the question | answer time they have after the show. They have the main actors go out to sign autographs. There's room on the kid's program for autographs. My kids like to sit in for the question | answer time.

Tap Dancers Coffee Review and #Giveaway

I drink one cup of coffee in the morning. I can function without, but it's much better when I have my cup.

Tap Dancers Coffee gave me five bags of coffee, and an Inced 'a Brew to review. They also gave me two additional bags of coffee to give away to one of my readers! YAY!

I love all their varieties of coffee. Each one smells so good.

So many of their coffees introduce their buyers | reviewers to different cultures. They actually get their coffee from the places it says on the packaging. There's a bio on their website about where the coffee comes from on each coffee blend.

It's specialty coffee. It's fair trade, organic, low acidity, and it tastes wonderful!

Welcome to Kenya: Kenya Kiambara Medium Roast and Kenya Kiambara Dark Roast.

We dove into Keya Kiambara Dark Roast. It's soooo good!

Welcome to Guatemala: Guatemala Andrina Dark Roast, Guatemala Beatriz Medium Roast and Guatemala Blend Specialty Roast.

Welcome to Ethiopia: Ethiopia Queen City Medium Roast.

We have friends from Ethiopia. Over at their house, their coffee was rich in flavor. The Tap Dancers Ethiopian Coffee did not disappoint.

They also have Espresso: Espresso Blend Specialty Roast.

We love dark | strong coffee, so this hit our taste buds.

You can choose to have Tap Dancers Coffee delivered to you house one time, weekly, and bi-weekly. They have 6 ounce, 12 ounce, and 5 pounds.

The cost varies: How much you are getting, and how often you are having the coffee delivered to your doorstep. It runs as little as $8.75 for one 6 ounce bag all the way to $60 for a weekly delivered 5 pounds.

Tap Dancers Coffee also sent me an Incred 'a Brew to review. It's $25.

I'm not sure how much I'll use this product, but I'm in love with the coffee!

It looked easy enough to use. Their instructions were so limited on and in the box.

Instructions:
  1. Heat up water in a mug as hot filtered water. Get it as hot as it can get without boiling over.
  2. Put the ground coffee in the main body of the Incred 'a Brew, and add the water. It comes with a coaster to prevent any leakage. We never had any leakage. I only spilled water on my own.
  3. Let it sit for 2 minutes.
  4. Pick up the brewing system, and put your mug under it. It will only start brewing when the mug is under the Incred 'a Brew. It takes about 5 minutes to brew the coffee. That varies with the strength of coffee you have in the system. No grounds got in the coffee. There are two filters it has to go through.
  5. Cleaning it was hard for me. I had trouble lifting out the filters (which there are two that are connected). The filter system is under the grounds. I found it difficult to get out when it was dry, and not berried with wet grounds of coffee. I had to have my husband get it out. He found that by pushing with his thumb it popped up. I'm still trying to master this.
  6. It can be cleaned in the dishwasher, or you can hand wash it. I like to hand wash products like this to ensure they will last longer.
Notice no leakage. The coffee and water are in there. It's sitting on the coaster, but there was no water on the coaster at all.

Here's what the mug looks like under the brewing system. It only turns on when the mug is there.

Multi-Function LED Headlamp For Handsfree Lighting Review

I love Headlamps. If the lights go out I'm prepared. If Dad goes to work on something in the garage, and doesn't have proper lighting to get the job done he's prepared.

You could even keep a headlamp in your car for emergency purposes. On road trips I'll do just that.

This is a Multi-Function LED Headlamp for hands-free, bright lighting

Cost: $29.97, on sale for $17.99.

Why struggle to hold a flashlight while you need both hands to perform the task at hand? How much easier would tasks, walks or jogs at night be with two free hands?

I have a small head, and I love that I can control the size of the straps.

Multi-Function Headlamp Perfect For Practical Things And Provides Safety & Security
  • Camping, running, hiking, caving, fishing, biking and other outdoor sports. We'll for sure use it for camping this summer.
  • Night reading, late night bed checks, task lighting inside a vehicle. Mica already uses his head lamp for night time reading. Now I can to.
  • Search-and-rescue scenarios and night time medical emergency. Perfect for people that go biking!
  • Plumbing, electrical, construction, other household work and professional use.
  • Automotive roadside safety, auto repair and more. This is great to take on road trips.
  • Power-outage convenience and home security.

Your Up-Close Detail Work And Long-Distance Viewing Is Now A Breeze
  • 4 Light Modes: 2 LED - 4 LED - 8 LED - 2 Red LED - OFF.
  • 2 LED (Power Save) - 10 Lumens that shine up to 65 feet (20 meter).
  • 4 LED (Bright) - 20 Lumens that shine up to 98 feet (30 meter).
  • 8 LED (Ultra Bright) - 30 Lumens that shine up to 164 feet (50 meter).
  • STEADY Red LED (No annoying flashing red light as with other headlamps). This is my favorite mode.
  • Red LED light ideal for reading, preserving night vision, and for not disturbing others.

The boys got headlamps for Christmas. It was a hot item. They've worn them so much! Mica asked if he could trade head lamps with me. I said, "Absolutely not!" His doesn't have the many modes mine does. I can just see it now - he and Isaak would fight over who gets my headlamp. It's mine. Only Dad can share.

The company didn't mention that it's just plain fun! Boys love indoor camping. I love playing along with them.

Your Life Made More Comfortable With The Ultimate Lightweight & Compact Headlamp
  • Easy-to-use single button control. It is easy. I even let Mica try my light on. He had no problem adjusting the button to change modes.
  • Easily adjustable elastic headband helps secure the light to any head size and avoid “brainsqueeze.” This is easy to. I still need to tighten it a little more.
  • Weighs 2.95oz, so no “bobbing” around. I forget it's on sometimes.
  • Small, portable, easy to carry anywhere, and fits around head, hat, helmet, bike or belt.
  • Long LED lifetime up to 20,000 hours; no need to change the LEDs.
  • Save time and money on batteries since LED lights last much longer then regular light bulbs.
So easy to control - even a kid can control it. It's still mine. :)

  • Once the beam is in your preferred position, you can be sure that it will stay there.

  • Up to 16 hours of battery life (using Power Save mode).
  • It also come with with a PDF book on 7 ways to use your Multi-Function LED Headlamp.

This hands-free flashlight is ideal for your toolbox, emergency kit in home or car.

Do you have a head lamp?
