Statue of Liverty

Isaak started scream crying at 2 pm; with ear pain. So much for being well. He acted so chipper this morning.

At first the doctor's office didn't have a spot for him. Then she said, "Wait a minute. They can see him at 4:20 today." I said, "We'll take it."

I know with ear infections they don't treat them always with antibiotics like they used to. I feel like if the parents are taking precautions to try and prevent them, and they still get one, antibiotics may be needed. I could totally be wrong. That's the school of thought the boy's doctor has to.

We've used the Netti Pot, we've been giving him meds, we've been giving him water to drink over milk, he laid on a heating pad during the afternoon, and he's been sleeping extra.

I wanted to make sure Isaak is well for this Kindergarten appointment next week. They don't like to give shots to sick kids.

Isaak: "I'm the Statue of Liverty Mom."

Sure enough he had fluid in both ears, his glands were swollen and he coughed like he's smoked for years for them.

Little man fell asleep in the car on the ride home. The doctor is across town.

oh no I hope it gets better! We brought our little girl to the PD yesterday too for her stuffy nose and cough that's been going on for a while. Might need to see a specialist if it doesn't get better in a few weeks after the meds.

Swollen glands hurt all on their own.... I can't imagine his pain with fluid in his ears too. My one Granddaughter used to always get ear infections. She ended up with tubes and that stopped the problem.

hope he feels better soon

Poor guy! I am glad you were able to get him into the doctor same day. It makes me so angry when we have to wait when our kids are sick!
