I'm participating in A Life Examined Question of the Month.
Question: If your house caught on fire, what's the one thing you'd grab before running out?
That's pretty easy to answer. I'd grab these two hams. I can make them count as one thing right? Seriously how could I choose between them? One would go under each arm, and I'd run, or roll us along.
If I had to pick a material item I'd grab it would be photos - albums, or my camera - whatever would be closer.

I would answer the same way. My boys first and then my purse & box of photos if I had time.
Great answer :) Photos are really important to me as well - but only because I don't have kids to save :P
I am with you, it's my kids and hubby. If they were all out of the house it would be my back up drive.
Yep, kids go first. We have a safe spot in case something happens, outside, far from the house. The kids know to go right there and not grab a thing, including us.
Material things... I'd grab our safety box w/birth certificates, insurance papers, etc. because what a hassle they'd be to replace. I'd want to grab pics...videos too, but those would take weeks to carry, hahaha. We have a lot of them. ;)
and I love that picture :)
smae thing, Bo et Obi will be my answer, too...Then I can start thinking about others to grab, which might not be easy. Documents? anything valuable? oh my...now I have to start thinking about it..
Adorable picture and yes, I would do the exact same thing but let's hope that never happens.
I meant to include that I think that question of the month would be fun!
Of course, Broxton would be what I grabbed first... but if it was a material item it would be my camera and hard drive. (*they are normally always together)
I have never thought about what I would grab in case of fire. I probably would grab my purse.
Great answer! If my nephews were in my house, I'd grab them too. Heck, they'd probably be out the door ahead of me. haha
Of course, the kiddos are grabbed first. My phone is what I use for pictures and it's 99% of the time on hand, so I wouldn't even think of that. My flash drive would be what I'd grab!
Family members would come first for me too. After all you can't go to the family member store and buy replacement copies.

Tossing It Out
This a logocial answer. Saving the living things first seems to be standard. I don't have kids, so I'll be running out the door with my pet turtle. I trust my husband to find his way out- hopefully he's holding the door open for me and the turtle.
They're cute boys. Of course you'd save them. Things can be replaced. People can't.
