I got a Watercolor Paint Set to review. The set costs $27.97, but is on sale for $17.97. I do wish that they raise the cost a little bit, and add a better brush. I love the color variety though!
Here's what it looks like with all the colors out:
I started out with an thin acrylic wash. Then went in with watercolor, and added course salt to the wet watercolor in some spots. I also sewed thread around Africa, and the giraffe's fringe, and eyelashes.
I still have to add more shadows and highlights. Overall it's close to being done. The image is mine. I photographed those giraffes. :)
I like the watercolor. It had a wide variety of vibrant colors. I love the added white. With the technique I used with putting a wash of acrylic down first I need that watercolor white.
This set is great for newbie artists, or professional artists. The trays come out, and stay in. I think I'm going to share this set with Isaak, since the trays are removable. It's easy to carry if I'm doing a demo at school.
Have you painted with watercolors?

I always love your artwork and the mixed media you incorporate into it. The watercolors look like a really nice set!
My sister is the artist in our family and she does a lot with water colors.
Wish I could paint, but I can't. My daughter can though. She usually draws with colored pencils because it's easier to clean up.
Watercolors are always so fun!!!
I guess I should buy some for Broxton and I to use one day!
Beautiful artwork! It makes me want to bust out my watercolors. I've been feeling this urge to paint for days now, but I've been too lazy to dig out the supplies :/
Obi my daughter loves using watercolor.. She paints many on the paper as well as her dolls ;). You have a beautiful piece of artworks there.. Love the giraffe...
You make me wish I were artistic. I don't have a bone in my body that would be able to draw.
