Bloom Where You're Planted Farm and Pumpkin Patch

I won tickets to go to Bloom Where You're Planted Farm and Pumpkin Patch from Family Fun in Omaha.

We went there on Saturday. We've never been there, so we had no idea what to expect. It was about an hour drive from our home.

We enjoyed the drive. Both of us live only 10 minutes from our home to our work, mine ends up being 20 minute because of construction, so it's not like we drive all over, all the time.

It's not as commercial as Vala's Pumpkin Patch, so there is less to do. There is also less people, more animals to pet, it's less expensive, more real food options, and you can hear yourself think out there.

The boys loved petting the horses. They spent some time picking burs out of the horse's mane. There are a lot of them out there.

Mica memorized the horse's names.

I tried getting photos of the boys all nice, with smiles on the hay bales. They wanted nothing to do with that. Instead they wrestled on the bales, and Isaak the punk child that he is jumped off the tallest one. I'm so lucky that kid hasn't broken anything yet!

The boys did work together to get up on this horse swing. Teamwork at its best.

These city boys have never been in a tractor, or combine. They had a chance to get to know John Deere a little bit this weekend.

They had this fun bumpy slide. Isaak told me his butt felt bumpy. LOL

Isaak covered Mica in corn. They have a huge bin filled with it that's like a sandbox.

We went on a hay rack ride. It was pretty.

What did you do this weekend?

Those corn filled boxes are such fun! We have a very commercial pumpkin patch in our area that has them. I like visiting the smaller ones also, for all the reasons you mentioned.

Our pumpkin patch/corn maze has one of those boxes filled with corn. We always end up taking some home with us by accident LOL.

Looks like your kids had a ton of fun. Clever idea to make a corn sandbox.

What a fun place to visit! I like that it's less commercial and crowded too.

On a sidenote how nice that your workplace is only 10-20 mins away from home. Mine is about an 30mins - 1hr away if the traffic is bad :/
