The Tooth Fairy Forgot

Isaak lost a tooth this week. It's been awhile since that's happened. With this one he was bleeding quite a bit.

Isaak said, Mom blood actually tastes good.

I said, Isaak it's ok to think that, but don't tell kids at school that. It makes you sound like a Vampire. It's probably best not to try and taste your blood. Just spit it out.

Then of course he asked, Why?

I gave a half assed answer, Because I just heard it's not good for you. It probably would give him extra iron, but he doesn't need to know that.

Dad and I both knew about the missing tooth, and we both forgot about it.

Isaak said in the morning, Mom the Tooth Fairy didn't come!

I said, Oh that sucks! She probably got busy. She'll come the next night.

Isaak said almost crying, You mean I have to wait a whole other night! That's way too long!

I said, You never know. She may have just gotten busy, and will come, while you are in school.

Isaak asked, Do you think so?

I said, I don't know for sure. We'll just have to wait, and see. By the way is the Tooth Fairy a girl, or a boy? I always thought it was a girl, but I suppose it could be a boy. What do you think?

Isaak said, I think it's a girl.

I asked Travis, Do you have any change?

Dad said, Yes.

I asked, Can you please put it in his box this morning? Tell them to go to the car. Forget something, and go put the money in his box.

That's what Dad did. Along with an itty bitty note.

An Itty Bitty Note

This little boy lost yet another tooth this weekend. It's one that isn't too obvious.

He said to Mica, "I'm going to write a letter to the Tooth Fairy, I'm going to make her a picture, and leave her a feather. She'll like the feather Mom!"

I helped him spell out what he wanted to say. He wrote with yellow on a white piece of paper. Oh so hard to read. ;) His note thanked her for coming to his house every time he looses a tooth. His picture was a paper collage. He likes gluing and taping all different papers together.

He said, "I'm going to stay up really late, and catch her."

The Tooth Fairy wrote a note back to Isaak on shimmery shiny paper. She wrote the note in tiny handwriting.

It said:

Dear Isaak,

Thank you for the lovly note. It was really kind of you. I'm glad you didn't wait up for me. I simply can not be seen. Little kids like you need your sleep in order to grow.

Have a good day tomorrow. Don't forget to tell your teacher about losing a tooth.

Love,

The Tooth Fairy

Another Tooth Bites the Dust

Last week Isaak came out of his bed  with a huge smile on his face and said, "Mom I lost another tooth!"

Now this is the 3rd tooth he's lost all in the same area.

Daddy cleaned up his bloody hands. He said, "Dude I don't think this one was all the way ready to come out. I wiggled it earlier, and it wasn't loose enough."

We think Isaak yanked, twisted and pulled all to get some quarters.

He looks like he was punched in the face. It makes me crack up.

A Littly Fairy Dust

Isaak was really excited to show me his sticker and missing gap in his teeth 2 days ago. :)

I got the idea to make a dollar bill all sparkly from Theresa's Mixed Nuts. Thank you Theresa!

I think it is Isaak's third tooth lost. I'm not counting. I thought it would be fun to add fairy dust to a dollar bill. I just used a glitter glue pen.

I don't think I'll do this with all his teeth. Mica may get further jealous. Because the Tooth Fairy never did that for him. When in fact the Tooth Fairy never thought about it for him.

It was cold this morning. Isaak didn't want to be outside. I got more crying photos, which was opposite about how he felt with his Fairy Dusted Dollar Bill. He hated this shot, but I think it's funny.

He liked this photo though.

WW: Missing Tooth and Crazy Hair {Linky}

Isaak showed us his first wiggly tooth on Saturday afternoon. It was crazy because it was the first that we knew of that this tooth was wiggly. We brush his teeth most of the time, he does some of the time, so you would think we would know. He was excited, and nervous at the same time. Saturday evening he was wiggling it back and forth, and it popped out.

The only Tooth Fairy box we have says, "Mica" on it. I found a hand painted wooden box to give to him. The Tooth Fairy gave him $1.50.

Did you grow up believing in Tooth Fairy? Do you have kids that believe?

That same day we decided not to do Isaak's hair. I call his hair, "Troll Doll Hair". Usually Daddy sprays it back and combs it flat. Not on Saturday. Isaak got compliments at Costco, and at art galleries for his crazy hair.

The Funny Stuff They Say

Tooth Fairy

Mica lost a tooth on Thursday. He decided he'd write her a letter. It went something like this:

October 25.

Dear Tooth Fairy,

Please give me a lot of money, so I can buy a lot of toys.

Thank you,

Your Friend

In the car the next day I said: Mica what did your letter to the Tooth Fairy say?
Mica rattled off his letter.
I said: More money doesn't always equal more toys. There are some toys that are really expensive and some toys that are not. You could get one really nice expensive toy or five really inexpensive toys.
Mica said: Oh.

  Markers

Isaak said: Mom why won't you let me have those markers sitting on your night stand?
I said: Because the last time you got a hold of markers you drew on our wood floor! No more markers for you, unless they are washable.
Isaak said: Well I won't do that this time.
I said: Sorry, but the answer is, 'No'. Plus all those markers are mine.
Isaak said: Uggg!

Runny Like Snot

Isaak was in Mica's space. Annoying him like he usually does. I tried distracting him.
I said: Isaak I need your help in the kitchen. I need someone to stir this!
Isaak said: Ok I'm coming. I love to stir things! Pause Why am I stirring this Mom?
I said: Well it's too runny. I have to make it thicken up with four.
Isaak said: Oh kind of like my snot gets too runny.
I said: Sort of like that. Next time your snot is runny maybe we should try rubbing flour on it. Laughing out loud! Pause. I'm only kidding of course.

 Mango Juice

Isaak said: Mom where does does mango juice come from?
I said: It comes from Mangos.
Isaak said: Oh...the thing that stands on one leg.
Daddy looked strangely over to Isaak and I.
I said: He's thinking of Flamingos I believe. Pause. I decided to work with Isaak's thought that Mangos stand on one leg. Yep Mangos pee out Mango Juice. What color are Mangos Isaak? I thought he'd answer, "Pink".
Isaak said: They are lellow yellow.
I said: Are you sure they aren't pink?
Isaak said: Yes I'm sure they are lellow yellow.
I said: They actually come from a fruit that is green on the outside and yellow on the inside.

I wonder if he envisions a yellow Flamingo that makes mango juice?

Mica Moose is Missing a Tooth!

Mica had two loose teeth in the front yesterday. Well one got so loose, and was being stubborn about coming out! He twisted and turned. That boy turned his tooth around and it still was attached. I couldn't watch. Most things do not gross me out, but this gave me the chills! He looked like a hillbilly; that hadn't gotten dental work done in a long time. Well it finally popped out!

Mica wrote a letter to his teacher telling her that he lost a tooth. I guess it goes on a calendar at school.

The tooth fairy came to visit. Mica sat right up in his bed while she walked into his room. If only she was really little, flew and we didn't have wooden floors that made noise as footsteps went through the house. She pretended to put clothes into his drawers. Then came back at a later time.

This time instead of putting his money right in his bank, he wanted it counted, he wanted to know what president was on the coins and what coins they were. Then he told me that he was saving it to buy toys. Hummm...this is a new one. Before he was just satisfied getting the money. Now he realizes that money can buy things.

He may have two teeth out before too long. Than adult teeth will grow in. I think kids look like they have buck teeth when adult teeth come in with baby teeth right beside them. Too funny!

WW Mica Moose Lost His First Tooth {Linky}

He lost it on the way down to KC. It's a great thing that mommy remembered to bring his Tooth Fairy box that Aunt Becky bought him! ;) He has another loose tooth. I told him that he can now drink out of a straw without opening his mouth!

Please connect your Wordless or Wordful Wednesday below! I want to see!

Moose Has a Loose Tooth!

Mica {AKA Moose} has his first loose tooth!

[ToothFairy.jpg]

I told him that he needs to spit it out into his hands when it's time for it to come out. I sure hope he doesn't swallow it! Then we talked about how it's normal to bleed.

He asked, "Mommy does everyone loose teeth?"
I told him, "Yep."

It is kind of funny because cousin Evan had his first loose tooth last year, the first week of kindergarten. Mica just started kindergarten to.

Mica told me that he has to leave his window open for the tooth fairy to fly through. I told him that, that wasn't necessary. She's so small she can fly through the crack of any door. I was thinking of winter time. Having the window open for a loose tooth wouldn't be practical!

Great Aunt Becky brought Mica over this:

It's a wooden tooth box. The last time she was over she brought Mica his safari set for his birthday. The boy's told her, "Next time bring something else." I said, "Oh no! No! No! It doesn't work that way boys."

Now I need to figure out what the going rate is for the tooth fairy to leave?!?
