E-Z Grip BBQ and Grill Accessory Kit Review

With Christmas coming up I'm getting presents left and right. I'm almost done! I'm just waiting on my parents to tell me what they want.

One of my favorite presents is for my husband: E-Z Grip BBQ and Grill Accessory Kit.  It's not gigantic, but something I know he'll use. I always struggle with what to get the adult males in my life.
My Dad isn't into sports, hunting, or fishing. He's more of a gardener, artistic type.

Travis has lots of hobbys and loves art, but I never know what he has. He is like my Dad, and gets into gardening. He's different than him when it comes to cooking and grilling. He loves to make meals!

The E-Z Grip BBQ and Grill Accessory Kit Comes With 5 Pieces:

  1. 2 BPA Free Bottle Dispensers
  2. 1 Scrapper/Chopper
  3. 2 Spatulas
I could see us using the bottles for homemade sauces and possibly dressings. Most of our grilled meat we marinate. I love that the containers are BPA free. I do always wonder about the checmicals that are used in plastics when they are BPA free.

I did have a little problem: One of my bottles came without a lid.

The chopper is great for cutting things in 1/2 like burgers and corn on the cob. I know I'll also use it for scraping flour off the counter when I make roll out cookies.

I like the spatula with the holes for burgers and sausages. The grease can drip off. Both spatulas will come in handy. They have great grip handles, which is important around a hot grill.

Everything Came in a Medium Sized Box:

The box is perfect for being wrapped.

Cost of the Set:

$39.99 on sale for $22.49

Everything is dishwasher safe. Super easy to clean!

We like to grill burgers the most. What do you like to throw on the grill?

Disclaimer: I got this product for a discount in exchange for an honest review. Everything in this post is written by me.

Beginner's Carving Tool Set Review

I'm to find new things for my kids to try out. It's so important to me to have them be exposed to now things often. Recently I was sent a Beginner's Carving Tool Set to review.

It's a 12 piece set. Each tool has a different tip:

  • Deep Gouge
  • Medium Gouge
  • Shallow Gouge
  • Narrow Straight Chisel
  • Wide Straight Chisel
  • Rounded Chisel
  • 4 Angled Knives /Chisels
  • Parting Tool
  • Pinpoint Tool
Here are photos of each and every tool in the kit:

These do seem great. I haven't carved in years. Mica started out trying to push down too much. It was like he was trying to use the tools like they were drill bits. I showed him how to carve, and to always carve away from yourself.

He figured it out. He didn't stick with it as much as I wanted him to. At least he knows how. I want to get Isaak to try. He's almost 8, but still will need supervision. He's more of my art lover though. Mica can be good at art, but he looses interest really fast.

I like that this set comes with the tips fixated to the handle. I really don't like the idea of my kids thinking that they can change tips, and possibly cut themselves.

This is perfect for beginners, someone that wants to take it up as a hobby, or if you have a certain project in mind that this can be used on. It's not really for professionals that carve all the time. You can use them for carving projects with stencils and patterns, touching up antique furniture, any miniature or micro models, spoons, bowls, box or animals, such as eagles, fish, bears or even elephants.

This set comes with the free ebook to get you started:

Materials:

Works on linoleum, clay sculpture and soapstone too. You can even cut a potato 1/2 way, and carve into that.

Use as a set or as accessories to your tool chest.

Have you ever done a wood carving before?

Disclaimer: I received this tool set for free for the purpose of this review. The opinions are 100% mine.

Gustav Klimt Mother and Child Review

I'm in love with my new art print!

I got Gustav Klimt Mother and Child - 12x12 inch Print on Synthetic Canvas GICLEE to review.

This sounds crazy, but I'm going to give it to Travis. I know it's a Mother and Child, but he loves collecting art. We also have a numbered Picasso print in our room to. We love art in our house. Our bedroom is a red-orange color with big squares of gold painted on top. The print will go perfectly in there!

I'll cut a matte for it (I have a matte cutter), and frame it before I give it to him. It would be nice if it was on a stretched canvas, so it would be ready to hang. The print is such a great quality though.

Size: 12"x12" - 30x30 cm

Cost: $24.90, but on sale for $12.90

How well it's made I would think it would be more money.

Shipping: They had it rolled in plastic, in a tube, and the plastic ends were stapled to ensure that there would be no damages. About the only struggle I had was that the United Postal Service had it stuck in New York for awhile. I have no idea why. When I went to call about it no information was present about the order. Since it was something I needed to review in a timely fashion I was a little frustrated about that.

I haven't checked into frames just yet, but it's nice that it will fit into standard sized ones. I may want to make the framing more complicated by adding the matte.

What kind of art pieces do you have in your home?

Essential Oil Diffuser Review

I really like having a humidifier. To be honest they are a bit big, and a pain to clean out. You have to keep them cleaned out, or mold starts to grow in them.

I love my new Essential Oil Diffuser, 250ml Ultrasonic.

It came packaged really well. It had foam over the whole top, that was taken off for the photo.

It comes with a cord, a cup to fill the diffuser, and the diffuser its self, which comes apart to fill up.

Aromatherapy mist brings calm and relaxation and the large tank in 250mL unit promises a long cycle. I didn't feel like it lasted as long as another one I have. The opening is pretty small. The top dome comes off to fill up with water. I put in peppermint oil in ours. You may also use it without essential oil to humidify the local air, where it may improve breathing and reduce nasal congestion.

The advanced mechanism in 's 250mL Ultrasonic Aromatherapy Essential Oil Diffuser creates swirls of endless scented humidifying mist.

About the size of a salad bowl, the small unit may be placed nearly everywhere in home and office. I move ours around because the placement depends on who's having trouble breathing.

The unit operates with a small switching power adapter that plugs into a nearby receptacle (6-foot cord).

Neither heat nor noise is produced. Only a gentle hum may be heard, indiscernible in most ambient locations. It does have a beep when it's done.

There is a low setting and a high setting. On low setting I could not see the steam come out until I saw the photos.

Cost:

$89.90, but on sale for $29.99.

Upper Respiratory:

I think diffusers are great for anyone with allergies, asthma, or any type of cold/sickness. It helps break up a cough.

Disclaimer: I received this diffuser at a discount for the purpose of this review. The opinions are 100% mine.

Pearl Chalcedony Citrine Earrings 'Radiant Love' Review

I really love the color red-orange. It's my favorite!

I received for a discount Pearl Chalcedony Citrine Earrings 'Radiant Love' to review. Novica has never disappointed me. I love these earrings like all their other products I own!

It came in a beautiful bag. I've said this before, the items that come from Novica make excellent gifts. The whole package is put together well with a lot of thought!

Novica has a little book that comes with their merchandise as well. This one tells of the Peridot & Silver Necklace 'Chennai Promise' as well as a little bit about the artist: Shanker.

The Book Says:

By Nareerat: To create my jewelry, I like to sit in the middle of the materials – colorful stones and pearls in many shapes... Nature is a reference for my designs.

Radiant Love: Beautiful and colorful, gemstones cluster in exquisitely feminine earrings. Nareerat knots peridot and pearls on silken strands with citrine, quartz and orange chalcedony. They hang from silver wires. .925 Sterling silver hooks

About the Artist:

Nareerat Tansuwansophon is the designer, but you can call her Lek. She was born into a Catholic family in Trang province, in southern Thailand. Her mother passed away after she was born. She is the youngest child of six siblings and have three brothers and two sisters. Her family members are merchants. Her house was next to the church so she did many activities at the church. Her family believed in God, just as she does. In 1982, after she graduated from grade nine, she moved to Bangkok. There she was a secretarial major at the Convert of the Holy Infant Jesus School, where she studied for three years. Then she worked as a buyer at a foreign trading agency until 1992 when an enamel company asked her to work in their marketing department. She thought it was a good opportunity so she worked there for three years before she quit to get married. Her hobby is origami, folding papers into many shapes. In 1996, her first daughter was born. She named her Ice. While she was pregnant, she spent all of my time doing origami. It made me get better and appreciate art. After she had some time off for being pregnant, she went back to work for another three years until she had cute twin sons in 2000. They are H and OAT. She quit working again when she had the twins and devoted all my time to them. When she moved to a new house about a year later, she was so bored. She wanted to have her own small business so she looked for products at the big Bangkok market she liked several kinds of jewelry so she bought some of them to sell at her sister's shop. The feedback was great, so she decided to design her own jewelry in 2004.

She prefers to design and craft the jewelry herself. She wanted to make something different from what one would find in the market. She she bought a book about making jewelry and the processes. She started from the beginning. It was so hard before she finished and it took her a long time to make the first piece. When she knew the basics and the process, she started to design by herself. She tried for a long time until she got better. Finally, in September of 2005, she opened her own small shop.

Many companies do not give the artist very much support. Not Novica. They always support the artist.

These earrings are so captivating!

Essential Oil for Anxiety and Stress Relief Review

Sickness has hit our household. Isaak has a fever, keeps complaining of a sore throat, has been sleeping a lot, and he's cranky. It doesn't look like strep throat just yet, but we keep watching him. With sickness comes stress. Stress on the body.

I do my mom thing like make him eat, push fluids, and rub his back with Essential Oil for Anxiety and Stress Relief.

It's 100% pure & natural therapeutic grade for peace and calming purposes. I've been using it for a few days now. Right after I used it today he decided he needed sleep. That's not normal for him. Before that he was edgy!

What make this oil different from others?

It's simple to answer, it comes ready to use. Other oils have to be mixed in other carriers like Olive Oil, or Almond Oil to use.

It came all wrapped in plastic to ensure there were no leaks.

Volume: 50m/ 1.7 fl oz

Concentration: 7% Ingredients:

  • Vanilla
  • Orange Sweet
  • Rose Maroc
  • Geranium China
  • Olive Virgin
  • Sunflower oil
  • Evening Primrose oil
  • Jojoba oil
It has a screw on lid. You shake it to get the oil out. I do have to say that I like the oils that have the dropper a little better. I find it easier to drop them out into my hand.

 Shelf life:

  • 36 months
  • Make sure you keep it in a dry and cool place.
Directions:

Use it 15 minutes before taking a bath to prevent feeling greasy. I didn't do this. I just put Isaak's night shirt over where I applied it. He didn't seem to mind. The other times I've used it it was before bath time.

Apply right amount to skin and massage gently, move toward the direction of the heart. Can be used while taking a bath by adding 3 teaspoons into the bathtub.

Best in relieving stress, nervousness and restlessness. I will certainly encourage my boys to use this before tests, and me before midterm and final times.

For best results, use it regularly (once or twice a day).

Cautions:

For external use only. Consult a doctor first if you are pregnant or have physical trauma. Keep the rim clean and the bottle tightly closed to prevent oil from spoiling.

Cost:

$49.95 and on sale for $28.95.

Prime Kitchen Review

I love the idea of not ever having to buy paper liners for cupcakes or muffins again. Prime Kitchen sent me special silicone baking cups to review.

At my work we make treats for our birthday, so I decided to make Raspberry Pink Lemonade Cupcakes.

Just a warning: They are not healthy. I didn't really make them for me. I made them for my work. I did sneak to have one, and yes they are tasty!
Cupcakes:
  • 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/8 cup corn starch
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar (I used coconut sugar)
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1/2 cup butter (softened)
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 large egg whites
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 cup + 3 Tablespoons buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoons lemon juice
Syrup:
  • 1 Tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 Tablespoon sugar
Frosting:
  • 1 heaping cup fresh raspberries
  • 3/4 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 2 3/4 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • raspberries for toppings
Directions:
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Add to a mixing bowl all the dried ingredients to the cupcake recipe. Stir, and set aside.
  • Add to a mixing bowl all the wet ingredients. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry, and mix.
  • Divide batter among 12 muffin cups. What's nice about Prime Kitchen liners is that you don't need to spray them with cooking spray. Bake in preheated oven until toothpick inserted into center of cupcake comes out clean, about 20 minutes.
  • Remove from oven and allow to cool.
  • Prepare syrup: In a small bowl, whisk together the lemon juice and sugar until sugar has dissolved. Brush mixture over warm cupcakes in 2 coats.
  • For the frosting: Heat mixture in a saucepan set over medium-low heat until reduced by half (to 3 - 3 1/2 Tbsp). Mash the berries. Cool completely (speed chill in freezer).
  • In the bowl use hand held mixer to whip butter until very pale and fluffy. Mix in 1 cup powdered sugar then mix in reduced raspberry puree and vanilla. Add remaining powdered sugar and mix until light and fluffy (if an even stronger raspberry flavor is desired you can add in 1/4 tsp raspberry extract, or to taste).
  • Add one raspberry to top of each cupcake then pipe frosting over raspberry and top with another raspberry.
  • Store in an airtight container.
Lemony Goodness!

With our Prime Kitchen Baking Cups you don't ever have to buy paper cups again. Paper cups just get thrown out, which is bad on the environment, and bad on the pocket book. I'm not saying silicone cups are perfect on the environment. It takes a process to make those. They can be used and used some more for years!

They are also easier to clean than metal cupcake pans. Cupcakes and muffins pop right out of them without using any sprays.

In addition, our Premium Luxury Designed Box can be used as a Dessert Container for taking it with you at School, Work or be used as a Gift!

Why not be creative? These cups can be used for more than baking...
  • Ice cream cakes
  • Cheesecakes
  • Gelatin
  • Chocolate lined desserts
  • Trail mix
  • and more
