Mens Hiking Snow Boots

I saw my first hint of fall yesterday. It still acts like summer, but the temperature is supposed to go from the 90s to the 60s all in one week.

Nebraska has some trees that turn red, some that turn yellow, but a lot turn brown and just fall down. It goes from a long summer to a short fall to a long winter. Winter will be here really soon. Sometimes it snows on Halloween here.

We are ready for the snow Mother Nature! I just got Mica some Hiking Snow Boots. They'll be great for hiking, but also all those walks to the bus stop.

His New Hiking Boots:

I'll rarely pass up reviewing boots or shoes. The boys grow so fast!

About the Boots:

They are easy to put on. The laces are easy to loosen and tighten.

They keep your feet toasty warm. They are lined inside.

They keep water out. I may buy a weather spray to be extra cautious.

My husband is always picky about the soles of shoes and boots. Some just don't have big enough treads. Getting these to review I did think about that. Lucky for Mica they are great!

Colors the Boots Come in:

Leather Black
Leather Blue
Leather Brown
Black Casual
Brown Casual
Grey Casual
D-Black
D-Camel
D-Dark Brown

I picked the D-Camel for Mica. I so wish I could pick a Leather Black for Isaak! That would really fit his personality, and a coat he has.

Sizes the Boots Come in:

6.5 to 12.5

Cost for the Boots:

$25.99 to $39.99

The cost depends on the type of shoe that's picked out.

Where to Get the Boots:

You can get them on Amazon Prime. I like this because they shipped fast, and they have a policy if they don't fit there are free returns. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07W8XFVZG

Do you like hiking in the snow?

@nomadfootwear is the Place to Get Boots!

A few months ago I was excited to win boots from Nomad Footwear. I haven't have rain boots, since I was a kid. I was so excited to win!

Right when I got them I put them on because it was raining outside. I was thinking about saving them for my husband to give them to me. I just couldn't resist wearing them. Aren't they cute?!

I had a few struggles on my end when I won:

What size do I get? My feet have grown after I had kids. I never thought that would happen. I wear special arch supports, so my shoes are a bit bigger than they need to be. I was happy that they fit just fine!

What color should I get? I was torn between Kelly B Wine (Red) or Kelly B Black. What's one to do when they are torn between what to get? I asked them to send me one of those two. Whatever they had in stock the most. I would have been happy with whatever I got. Black does go with more, but I do have lots of grey, black, and wine colored shirts, and a coat for each of those colors. Black it is. :)

Now I have rain boots for the first time in years!

Do you have rain boots? What color would you pick on this page

Join up with Nomad Footwear on facebook and twitter, so you can have the same opportunity to win some boots on their next giveaway like I did.

Disclaimer: Nomad Footwear did not ask me to write this post. I'm writing this because I love the Kelly B boots they sent me.

Viihahn Men's Lace-up Fully Wool Lined Boots Review

It's hard to believe that Mica's into men's shoes. Ok, so maybe it's not. My nephew that's the same age has been in men's shoes for awhile now. We're spending more money on shoes for him now. Thankfully I got Viihahn Men's Lace-up Fully Wool Lined Boots for Mica to try out. YAY!

These boots come in 2 colors:
  1. Coffee
  2. Black
I really love the color coffee...

But I felt like he'd get more use out of the black ones. He has tan shoes already. The coffee could could be worn with brown, or black because the soles are black. I know Mica has dress shirts for the holiday time that wouldn't work with brown at all. The black ones were more practical.

Lined:

The shoes are super soft. They are lined with wool. Mica loves the feel of them.

With them being lined it's super great for cold winter days. They are winter boots, but I wouldn't go sledding in them. They are too nice for that. They can be worn for dressy events, or casual wear. We actually went for a quick hike to see how they'd feel. Mica loved how they felt.

Soles:

The soles are great. They don't slip around, which is wonderful. Part of why I wanted him to have winter boots is for really cold days. He's on safety patrol, so it will be cold and icy on some winter days.

They do get rocks, leaves and mud in the treads, but I'd rather that happen instead of having no threads. It gets icy here during the winter. I don't want Mica sliding around.

Cost:

$115, and on sale for $68. That's with Prime.

Specs:
  • Leather Imported
  • Wool Rubber Soles
  • Leather Upper
  • Shearling/Wool Lining
  • Dual Density Insoles
  • Lace-up Closure

Overall Mica really likes his boots! He was pleasantly surprised. I didn't tell him that I was getting them for him.

Do you have a favorite pair of boots?

Disclaimer: I received these boots for discount in exchange for writing this review. I was influenced in no way to write a positive review.

There's No Place Like Home

It snowed for the first time on Friday. Just enough to coat the grass. It dawned on me that I had not checked to see if the boys had winter boots that fit. As much as I'd love to get them boots for Christmas, I need them to try shoes and boots on.

Mica's fit just right, and were slightly big for Isaak. We decided to give Isaak Mica's boots, and get Mica new boots.

We went to 4 stores before we landed on boots for Mica. I'm not much of a shopper, so by the 3rd store I was feeling done with shopping. By the 2nd store I was feeling done with little boys.

Isaak has this new thing were he jumps instead of walks. It shouldn't annoy anyone. He's just having fun, but somehow it gets on all the rest of our nerves. After the 10th 20th time of telling Isaak to stop jumping around, and to just walk Mica decided to take Isaak's jumping into his own feet. He kicked him!

I said, "Ok if you're going to kick your brother; you don't get off the hook. You never kick your brother."

I looked around and said, "Here try these shoes on. You kicked him. You have to try these Dorothy shoes on." So instead of loosing a privilege he had to try on red sparkly shoes. For the record he only wore them for a minute.

We did find boots. Our go to place for shoes and clothes (Kohl's) for the first time failed us. They need better in between sizes from boyz to men. I would have had to get Mica neutral girl boots. When I texted Travis a photo of the girl boots on Mica, Travis asked if they were for me? ShopKo has Payless inside it. That's where we found men's boots that were small enough. All the way home I said to myself, "There's no place like home!"

WW: New Boots {Linky}

I had to get Mica new snow boots. His feet grew since last year. I had an extra 30% off card for Khols. Off we went to pick out snow boots and clothes for our family picture that will be taken sometime in the near future.

I'm so glad I didn't buy snow boots online. I kind of think they are something that has to be tried on in the store. Mica was locked into one pair of boots. The size was bigger than his shoes. He put them on. I made him run up and down an isle to see if they would fall off. They stayed on. Then I thought, "He may have thicker socks on to." They didn't look too big, but his toes do have room to wiggle.

The Tony Hawk brand was just as expensive as any other. We decided to get them.

Daddy really liked them. He said, "If these boots fit me, I'd steel them."
