#backtoschool With This Leather Journal

I'm super excited to share with you a Leather Journal I got to review.

Where to Get it:

You can purchase this Leather Journal on Amazon Prime: https://www.amazon.com/Refillable-Notebook-Business-Sketching-Qiaofulicheerfully/dp/B07DC2HVL8 for $28.99.

Who to Get it For:

It's meant for women. I ask why? I know it's a dark maroon. Otherwise I could see it being for anyone. As soon as I told Isaak I was thinking of giving it to Travis for his 43rd birthday on the 30th he said, "Wow that's so cool Mom. You have the best ideas!" He takes notes, writes lists, sketches and draws out plans all the time. It's perfect for him!

Isaak wrote in the first page a Happy Birthday image.

Different Types of Paper:

I love how there are different types of paper in there. Each type of paper is good for something different.

Line Paper

To jot down notes, dreams, tasks, stories and so on.

Grid Paper

To draw sculpture ideas, garden plans, Lego creations, basketball moves and more.

Brown Craft Paper

To draw anything!

Size:

It's small: 4x6.7. Certainly it's great to take traveling, it won't take up very much room on the table, and it's easy to fit in a bag, or purse.

Are you a list taker, or sketcher?

Disclaimer: I got this product for a discounted price to assist with this review. All opinions are my own.

Random Tid Bits

  1. Since I wrote that post about the 6th grader that likes Mica he's told me that she keeps asking him for help in regards to the Science Fair project, and Talent Show try outs. He declined.

He said, "Mom I just don't think this girl can take hints. She comes to talk to me, and I disappear. I didn't tell him that some girls chase after guys that are hard to get.

  2. Yesterday I made a spontaneous decision to get Mica a new bedding set. He loves Yellow Submarine by The Beatles, and it was all on sale. It will be for his birthday in August, or next Christmas. I always buy things way in advance. Do you buy things in advanced?

  3. Souce
  4. Isaak got a horrible cold on Wednesday. Wednesday morning he said his throat hurt. I didn't know if it was allergies or sickness at that time. I generally send the kids to school if they just have a common cold. At the end of the day Isaak looked horrible. Isaak said, "Mom my art teacher asked me why I was in school." I said, "This morning you didn't seem too bad." He said, "I went through a box of tissues today."

I kept him home on Thursday. He was actually well enough to go to school. I didn't know that at 7:30 AM.

Today I sent him to school with an added box to tissues; to make up for the whole box he used on Wednesday.

  5. Isaak was in a sneaky mood yesterday. He didn't like his lunch, so he threw it in the trash. I've heard of kids doing this, but never experienced my kids doing it. I sent him to lay down in his room.

  6. Isaak's personality is sweet and spicy. Last night he transformed into a sweet boy. He put flowers in a vase for me, wrote me a letter to slip under the bathroom door, while I was showering, and wrote a letter to Travis. What's something that has been done to you that's sweet lately?

Isaak Likes Notes in His Lunchbox

One project I've wanted to do for awhile was paint chalkboard paint in my boy's metal lunch boxes.

I kept forgetting about it, or putting the project on the back burner.

Well...I finally did it.

I found that a sponge roller worked best. I need to go to the art supply store and get some chalk pencils. My boys have chalk on their easel, but it's really dull.

I did write a note for Isaak:

Have you/Do you leave notes in your kid's lunch boxes?

The chalk cleans off well with a damp paper towel. It's not the same as writing on a chalk board, but it's close. It doesn't seem to rub off with the travel of the lunch. I thought possibly my cloth sandwich bags would rub off the chalk. NOPE!
