Sick

The animated boy seen in the post below has the tummy flu. It managed to skip him over Christmas and now he has it. His teacher said that 3 other kids were out of class. Mica looked white as a sheet when Daddy picked him up. I told Mica, "Honey if you don't feel well, you need to let your teacher know! Then Daddy or Mommy will come pick you up." I think he was ashamed, or something. Now he's probably passed it along to more kids there.

He came home, was sick right away and than acted just fine. Now he's sick again.

How do some kids turn it off and on again? I remember being sick like that and it was like I was tied to the couch. My kids bounce around like nothing was ever wrong in the first place. Then I never know if they are better or not. They totally fake me out.

Mica missed swim lessons tonight and we've already decided that he's not going to school tomorrow. I think when I was little the policy was, you get up, eat breakfast and see how you feel. Well if Mica bounces around in the middle of being sick, how do I know if he's really sick or not? He's staying home. At least in the morning.

I feel really bad because on Saturday Mica was walking all hunched over. I was freaking out thinking that he had appendix issues. I press on his lower left side and he said, "Ouch." Then he got up and started walking normal and said, "I'm fine now." He was fine the rest of the weekend. Maybe that was just the start of this.

For the record, I think I've dealt with and been around enough stomach flu this winter. Thanksgiving they were sick, Christmas Isaak was sick, then I got sick 1 day after and now this. I'm hoping no one else gets it!

I'm Not Sure How Tonight Will Pan Out

Last night, well morning at 1 am Isaak awoke, but not with sugar plums dancing in his head. He was fussy. I took him potty. Thank goodness boys go pee standing up because right after little man had stuff come out his mouth. Woo Hoo, no clean up! Woo Boo a sick kid!

This morning he didn't want much to do with eating. A banana and Jello juice is all I could get him to eat/drink. I put him down for a nap early and he's still sleeping.

I'm not sure if he'll be able to join us for Christmas Eve festivities or not?! Daddy staying home with him, while Mica and I go to church with the rest of the family.

The boys did get to unwrap one gift this morning. Their robot PJs for tonight. I told them it wasn't too exciting of a gift. Mica thought it was great though! He took his clothes off right away to put his new robot PJs on. Isaak didn't much feel like doing anything, but he liked them.

It seems like there is one kid always sick during holidays. If it's not in our family, it's Aunt Terra's.

More Sickness

Well Mica was sick this weekend. Friday night he got the tummy bug, Saturday he acted just fine and on Sunday he got the tummy bug again. Odd! On Saturday he was wrestling with Isaak, laughing and acting his normal self. Sunday rolls around and he turns white and throws up.

Now Isaak just got sick. Another load of laundry in in the washer. I just hope Daddy and I do not get it!!! This kind of stuff has to happen when it's holiday time.

Last Night Mica Got Sick

He sat down to dinner and said, "My tummy hurts!" We excused him. He went to bed at the normal time of 7:45 instead of staying up later; like he does on many Friday and Saturday nights. At 12 AM he woke Daddy up; than Daddy woke me up. He threw up on his bedding. He also has drawers under his bed, and some went into the drawers. YUCK, but it happens!

I cleared off his bed, while Daddy wiped everything down. The crazy thing is, many kids act perfectly fine after they've thrown up. You really don't know if they are still sick or not!

Mica got up in the morning and I asked, "How are you feeling?" He said, "Fine." I said, "Well it's a good thing you didn't throw up again!" He said, "Oh I did, it's in the bucket in my room." I'm thinking, "Great! Thanks for telling us!"

I made JELLO juice. I just never let it set up. The boy's love it! It's a sick treat. Isaak's strongly supporting a red mustache. Then we had toast with honey, banana and Mica had Greek Yogurt while we had ham and eggs.

So far, no more sickness. I hope it's something Mica ate and not actual sickness. I'd like to run errands today. I'm waiting awhile just in case.
