Sing, Sing a Song Saturday

I'm going to start doing what I call Sing, Sing a Song Saturday.  I'm going to post one song on Saturdays that I or the boys like. I'll see how long I can keep it up.

The song may be part of a movie, a kid's video or just a song we like. It may or may not include words. I'll try and include why we like it and/or the history of the song/singer.

This Saturday I'm embedding something new I came across. It's The Fantastic Flying Books of Mr. Morris Lessmore iPad App Trailer by Moonbot Studios. The visuals are really cool. I love how the music works with the trailer!



The illustrator is William Joyce. He did illustrations for the book Rolie Polie Olie. I just got done with a children's book illustration assignment in my class this week. I love William Joyce's illustrations.

This short film developed for the iPad app, is an interactive book that won an Oscar. It's inspired by Hurricane Katrina, “The Wizard of Oz”. Here's a view of the actual short:
