WW: Mantid {Linky}

On Mother's Day we went over to my parent's house to give my Mom flowers. The boys stood at a bush for awhile checking out the baby Praying Mantis. There were a few on this bush. They were hard to see because they were so little.

Last year I took the below video clip of the Praying Mantis in action. The boys were  fascinated!

Do you think the Praying Mantis is creepy or cool?

Those are great photos. One of my flower photos has a bumble bee tucked into the flower. =)I don't think we have praying mantis in MN.

Love your shots. I think they are cool. Hubby got to hold one several years ago because it was on our trailer and he wanted to move it into the grass. Had never seen one up close and personal before then and haven't since. I find them fascinating.

I would say cool but a little bit creepy :-)

How many memories!I used to catch mantises and keep them as pets as a child. And then I used to catch butterflies to feed them. They are so clever, the perfect predators.

Very cool, we occasionally spot some in our yard, too.

We think they are VERY cool! Once we found one on the trail out to our back pasture - it chased my boys! Every time they stepped back, he'd run forward a little!

You got some good shots of the Praying Mantis. I see them quite often over here in Jamaica. Have a good Wednesday.

I think they're cool! We actually bought some for our garden a few years back. :) Love all the shots - and great video, too! :)

Nothing that is created by the Nature can not be creepy to me! I really find the beauty in all of the creatures that are so innocent and simple in their existence! Praying Mantis are really cool and I never seen a baby from so close up:) Thanks for sharing!

Hmmmm....I know they perform a vital role in nature. But I'm glad they perform it far away from ME.
