Random Tid Bits

  1. All day yesterday I had a PMS headache. I so wanted to sneak a Ibuprofen, but I'd be thrown into an asthma attack + a sneezing fit. No can take! I do have to say that it's great I haven't had a headache in a long time. Something I used to live with daily.

  2. I've been getting a kick out of looking up Garbage Pail Kids + People's names I know. I never found humor in this when I was a kid, but now I do.

Of course they spelled my name wrong, but oh well.

Travis had two that I found, and they both had to do with poop. Personally I like, "Tracking Travis" the best!

Top commenter goes to Theresa! Sorry also spelled wrong.

  3. I've been worried about my nephew Emerson. He has a brand new type of seizure. I feel for my sister. She's the one that takes care of him the most. I took the photo off her facebook page. He has mittens because he constantly chews on his hands, which isn't good.

  4. Mica wanted to watch Super Size Me 2. Now none of us are craving chicken. I had to remind my boys that Super Size Me (the original) had them not wanting beef, for awhile. Milk kind of goes with that as well. Also all kinds of crap is sprayed on our veggies and fruit. Before too long we won't have anything to eat. Are there certain foods you won't eat?

  5. Isaak's mouth has been sore all week. He had braces added to his molars. It's worse than when he got braces to begin with.

Random Tid Bits

  1. I asked Travis to put our work lunches in our cars last night because it was cold enough to be a refrigerator. I went out to start my car, and the key was just left in the door. Any random stranger could have easily stollen my 14+ Honda Civic. That would have made me sad!

  2. I'm kind of wondering why he had the key like that anyhow. It works as a remote.

  3. I got a Jury Summons, for the first time. They sent me a return envelope, but there's nothing to return. It has a website to go online to fill out some info, but no paperwork to put in the envelope. What a waist of money and paper! Unless I'm missing something. Ekkk! Have you been on a Jury before?

  4. Not a great picture, but still funny! Isaak thought if he put his shirt like (the image below) he looked like a true Egyptian.

  5. Isaak had his first wire poke out of his braces. Just his luck - not - the Orthodontist Doctor is out of town. He has to go in on Friday to get the wire removed, so it doesn't drive him nuts all weekend. Then go back in on Monday to get the wire put back on.

  6. Mica had a few girls over, for their Science Olympiad project. Last week one of them forgot. I was so happy she gave us an, I Sorry Card. All is forgiven. It was funny listening to them work. They were so giggly. Isaak kept saying how annoying they were. LOL!

WW: Braces {Linky}

The littlest man in our house got braces last Thursday. He had no choice. There was not enough room in his mouth, for his adult teeth.

He had to get some baby teeth out, to make room for big teeth to come in. He had a space maintainer.

This Thursday he got braces.

I had braces, for too long really. I just know because my roots are small. They say if your roots are small you've had them for too long.

I remember the pain. Isaak hasn't complained too much.

He did complain when a ball from Goalball hit his mouth. The poor boy started bleeding. For a moment I thought we'd need to go back to the Orthodontist, but he was ok.

He sure looks like a pre teen with them in!

In case you're wondering he lives in this coat. He has a closest full of shirts, and covers them all up with this coat. Ha!

He is still eating soft food for the most part. I'm sick of oatmeal, applesauce, smoothies, soups, yogurt and so on. I'm not even eating all those things when he eats them. I hope he gets used to them soon enough.

Here he is eating a Goodrich Malt. A few years ago he said, "Can we get those mulches?" I had trouble understanding what he was talking about. When he said, "Goodrich Mulches" I knew he meant "Malt". I still call them "Mulches". He goes right along with it! Ha!

Did you have braces when you were a kid?

Isaak's Getting Braces Soon

In October Isaak gets braces. Ekk!

I did what the Orthodontist said, and got him a toothbrush that brushed in circles. Then I turned around and did what I thought was logical, and got him a water pick to review.

I did have to wait a bit, for it to come in the mail. It wasn't like Amazon's 2 day shipping. It did come. We weren't in a hurry, for it, so yay.

I've never used one. At first I was thinking it needed batteries. No it doesn't need batteries!

You just take the bottom off, and fill it with water until it hits the Max line. It squirts much like a spray bottle does.

Uses:

Braces

Food Trap

If Teeth are Close to Each Other

Sensitive Gums

If You Don't Like Flossing

I bleed when flossing, and it's not because I don't ever floss. It's from being on Aspirin. I may have to get my own Water Pick! It looks handy!

The only things I could see being a problem is that if you don't use it a lot it, you may have to change the water out each time you use it. Just like some spray bottles stop working, this could to. Right now it works great!

Where to Get it:

Have you used a water pick before?

Disclaimer: I got this for free, or a discounted price in order to help with this review. All opinions are my own.

Random Tid Bits

  1. Is it just me, or do you find vans/trucks creepy that have no back windows? I just think about the show Dexter. I picture things like dead bodies, drugs, kidnappings, and/or sex slaves being hidden away from everyone in there.

Never happy cargo thoughts. They probably have drugs people actually need medically, medical equipment, computers, tools, and other things that.

  2. Mica texted all annoyed because he had more to do on his list than Isaak did. He thought he should have a break. I kept texting him meme/gifs back. I'm his only Mother, so I don't have anyone to compete with to be his favorite Mother.

  3. Isaak gets braces on very soon! August 5th to be exact. He's not too excited about it, but he doesn't have enough room in his mouth for all his adult teeth. Does he really want to have teeth growing out of his top gums in the where his mouth starts to turn forever?

Mica has some crowding in his bottom teeth, but it's not enough to warrant braces. It would cosmetic only.

Did you have any mouth appliances? I had a retainer and braces.

  4. I positioned the students with their friends. It's not really a seating chart, just putting them with who they hang out with. Two came in because they saw we had things ready to go. They changed where they sitting. Never mind the girl's feelings who thinks she is their friend. Now there's no space for her in that same area.

  5. One of my Aunt's was telling Isaak, Mica and the rest of the kids their age that my Grandpa, which is their Great Grandpa is a superhero. Isaak's had his Great Grandparent's pictures in this frame, for awhile now. He got the photos when we went to go through my Grandpa's things before he moved to an assisted living home. My Grandma has been dead since Isaak was 4, so 7 years ago she passed away. Grandpa is 93.
