The Cutest Magnetic Whiteboard Dry Eraser Set - Adorable Cat Review

I'm happy to share with you The Cutest Magnetic Whiteboard Dry Eraser Set - Adorable Cat I got to review. They are really cute!

The set comes with 12 erasers. That's a lot of erasers! My aunt has a big Easter Egg Hunt for the kids on Easter, so I plan on donating many of these erasers to the hunt. There's 13 kids all together, but I got a set of 12 dogs and a set of 12 cats to review. There's plenty to go around.

They came all packaged up with each other. The packaging seemed good, and it shipped really fast!

Price:

$9.99 for all 12 erasers! Buy one and get 30% off Lovellio's Charming dry erase calendar. I didn't read close enough to know that I could buy a calendar for 30% off. I may have gotten one, or two.

Choose From 2 Prints:
  1. Loyal Dog
  2. Adorable Cat
I hope they expand to have other animals too. Possibly add a fish, or I'd love a hedgehog set. Cats and dogs are the two animals that most people would have as pets.
A Great Gift Set:

This is a great set to get. Especially if you get the calendar that is 30% off. You could give this set to kids for Valentines, Easter time, a Birthday, to a Teacher for Teacher Appreciation Day and more.

Not Your Ordinary Stationery Set:

Lovellio makes their sets fun by adding cats and dogs to their sets.

Other Perks:
  • The erasers are also great for small little hands. I like that they are square instead of the big erasers that are used most of the time.
  • The erasers are magnetic. How cool is that? I tested them out on our refrigerator, and they worked.
The only downfall I saw was that some of the dog prints are great prints, while others look a bit faded.

Are you a dog or a cat person?

I don't know if I ever like one over the other. I'm allergic to both. I think cats are fluffy cute, it's nice that they can be on their own during short trips. Dogs are more of a companion, man's best friend - right? Dogs make their owners more active because they have to walk them often.

Disclaimer: I received Magnetic Whiteboard Dry Eraser Set - Loyal Dog to review. I wrote this post, and was not influenced at all with an opinion. I only review things that I find interesting, or that would benefit my readers or family.

I Ruined Someone's Dying Wish

This weekend we celebrated my nephew Emerson's 5th birthday. Pictures will be posted tomorrow.

My sister had a special party planned because we never thought he'd live this long. He keeps going and going. I say that because throughout his party he showed off the whole time by walking with his walker. He had to be so tired by the end of it. My sister kept offering breaks for him, but he kept on walking.

Ok here's one photo. It's hard getting photos of him because he's constantly moving, and hardly keeps his head up. I won the cape from Mail4Rosey. :)

I was asked to take pictures at a booth they had set up. I have to be honest I wasn't too thrilled when I got this job, but it ended up not being so bad. I tried recruiting kids over to take photos with superhero masks and capes. Some wanted to take part in it, while some were too shy.

I showed up right when the party started, so I could get a lot of photos before the kids were too busy playing. That ended up working out great!

In the room walks a distant relative. She's tried to get my husband to fix old costume jewelry for her for free before.

She had a manuscript, a Shutterfly book, and some sketches in her hands. She walked right over to where I was at.

Freebie Person: "Alissa I have to tell you all about this lady who drew my cats for me. You see her husband is so sick that they have his body opened up. He's been in the hospital. I don't know what's wrong with him."

Me trying to listen: "Oh I'm sorry to hear that." Thinking, What does this have to do with me?

Freebie Person: "Since she can't draw cats for me anymore I'd like you to."

Me looking at the Shutterfly book: "Have you tried sending your manuscript to a publisher? They set people up with illustrators that match the writing style."

Freebie Person: "Oh I don't want to do all that. I just want a few books printed. You can go to Amazon, and make books right? You know about that stuff. I just don't. I just need you to be just as excited about this as I am."

Me: "I'm afraid I don't draw in a cartoon style. My work is more about collage, painting, and layers. It's not going to match the style of this other illustrator. I think it would be best if you tried to submit it into a publisher. You'll have better results in the end. This other book is from Shutterfly, not Amazon."

Freebie Person: "It's my dying wish to have this done. I think you'd be perfect for this."

Me Thinking, But Not Saying: You came to this party to try and get free work done for your book. You didn't come to see Emerson at all.

A Few Other People Came to Talk to Me...I wanted to hug them for interrupting the freebie person. Our conversations couldn't last the whole time.

Freebie Person: "You see this is my dying wish to have this book."

Me: "I'm sorry it's not going to work."

I walked away.

She was notably upset.

Later on...

Freebie Person: "If you know of anyone that can do this book, or if you change your mind please let me know."

Me: "I'm sorry it didn't work out. I really don't know anyone that will work for free."

I was thinking: Never would I have my students do this kind of work for free.

Why is it that people often want an artist to work for them for free?

When a toilet is jammed up no one expects that to be fixed by a plumber for free.

I'll do things for my immediate family, like taking photos at my nephew's birthday, I've done many invitations for birthday parties, but beyond that I don't want to do free things. I'll sometimes do an exchange. My cousin wanted wedding invitations made. I did them. That was her gift from us.

I may consider doing something for a nonprofit that doesn't have the funds for much. It's because I believe in the cause.

Random Tid Bits

  1. This weekend I get to play single mom. Travis is going to Chicago for a dental conference.

  2. I got Isaak's strep throat. I stayed home on Thursday. The kids do not have school Thursday or Friday. Isaak decided to cuddle with me. I figured why not? he already had strep throat. It's not like he's going to get it from me. He would not stop wiggling around. I got no extra rest. It's a good thing I didn't expect to get extra rest. Somehow I knew that staying home with the boys would be worse for my health. Ha!

  3. My Grandpa was feeling well enough to go home from the hospital earlier this week. His stats were A ok. Now he's been having fevers later this week, and actually had wet accidents. This is not like him. I guess he just had a horrible cold, but my mom is thinking he does in fact have a UTI. He's a pretty with it guy. I'm hoping he's not going downhill fast. He's in his 80s, and he's not getting any younger. So many people on that side of the family live into their 90s.

  4. They said a warm up was on the way last week. It lasted a day or two. Now we're back gloom and doom, cold weather, and it snowed just enough to look like confetti on the grass.

  5. Last night I woke up at 3 AM. I heard cats. We have wild cats that roam around. We've even taken baby cats to the Humane Society. I bumped Travis awake and said, "Do you hear that? Is that cats outside, or Mica playing Minecraft?" Right after I said that the noise stopped. The cats sounded like they were coming from a computer game. When we woke up, we asked Mica what he was doing at 3 in the morning? When we told him what we heard he had a smirk on his face. It was either a you caught me smirk, or a you guys are ridiculous smirk. Our boys haven't lied to us for a very long time that we know of. They know that they get in worse trouble when they lie. I wouldn't put it past any kid to lie at times though. No one is perfect. We didn't catch him, so he's innocent until proven guilty.

Does anyone else think Minecraft has the worst effects?
I like that kids can build things, but I hate the boxy feel.

I Wish I Had a Magic Wand

The week started out with a call from my mom saying, "Your Grandpa is in the hospital. He was driving down Dodge Street the wrong way." We're lucky he didn't get in an accident. Dodge Street is a busy street. He's in his 80's, and totally with it prior to this incident. The doctors found out he has a Urinary Tract Infection. He's been in the hospital with one of these before a few times. He doesn't remember Monday at all. Since then he's been seeing cats in his hospital room.

I picture this:

My Grandpa is still seeing cats. My aunt moved his bed in hopes that the cats had something to do with the light above his bed.

I wish I could swish a magic wand in the air to make my Grandpa better.

Yesterday I had a student show up with tears running down her face. She just had a baby a month ago. It's hard enough to go to school full time after having a baby, but she also works.

Her boyfriend is an ass! He has 5 other kids with other women. He had a job, but quit because child support was taken out of his check every week. A real stand up kind of guy! NOT! He's uber controlling.

My student had to remove her guy friends off facebook, she had to change her name to be his on facebook (they are not married), he tells my student that he doesn't want her to go to class because he does everything around their apartment, he complains about making dinner, he has hit her, and he threatened to leave if she left to go to school.

I told my student to number 1, go check on her baby. If her ass of a boyfriend threatened to leave after she left for school then that would leave the baby home alone. Then I told her I'd leave phone numbers for her to call for help, paper, and pens to try and get help in an office no one, but her could use. She left to go check on the baby at 10 AM, and didn't get back until 1 PM. I think she gave up the idea of getting help.

Some women think their emotions are running high due to postpartum issues. You and I know full aware that this dip of a boyfriend is an ass. My student is smart and kind, but not smart with the current situation she's in. She wouldn't make those phone calls. I gave her the sheets of papers with the helpful organizations, and told her to hide them. She needs support.

I stalked checked out my student's ass of a boyfriend on facebook. He said hurtful, awful things in reference to my student. Like, "It would be nice if I was made dinner every once in awhile." Hummm...she was working last night to support them. and "History repeats its self. The women in my life have to just do their own thing." Going to class is doing your own thing!? I wish I could kick his ass. All he does is watch their kid. He lives off my student's Target job, and student loans. Shaking my head!

I wish I could swish a magic wand in the air to make my my student get out of the current state she's in.

Sing, Sing a Song Saturday

Sing, Sing a Song Saturday is all about me discovering something that is different. I don't want to post things that you and I have more than likely heard before. I want to find something different. It could be from another country, someone singing from the streets of NY, and more.

I ran into something I found interesting this week. Did you know that cats do not prefer human music? I never really gave that too much thought. I don't have any fur babies. I like them, but my allergies do not.

PBS posted an article here about music and cats.

Many cats tend to hide when our music is played. Scientist's from the University of Wisconsin-Madison have come up with music they think cats will love. Most cats were more attentive when the music played! Their eyes opened wider, and they rubbed up against the speakers. In the study also found that the cat music also evoked better reactions from younger and older cats than middle-aged felines.

The music has more nature sounds. There's a purring vibration in the background.

If you have a cat let me know if they seemed interested in this music.

We Had 5 Babies

Kitties to be exact.

A stray cat has been seen by our home.

Our neighbor said, "Hey Travis did you know that you have babies?" Then she showed him the kitties. They were up by the shed.

As many of you know I have allergies bad, so no we weren't about to keep them. If it were up to just Daddy he would give me up, and keep the cats. ;)

I joked a bad joke and said, "Just turn them loose in the yard behind us." Why was this a bad joke? They have big dogs back there. The kitties would probably be a meal for them.

I'm not that mean, and wouldn't do that.

In fact I found the number and website for feline frindz. They are a Nebraska nonprofit organization that deals with cats. They don't euthanize them. The Human Society will if they don't get sold.

He was about to contact them, and poof the cats are gone. They must of read my mind.

Are you a dog, cat, or none of the above person?

Tonight After Work It Was Raining

I went into Grandma and Grandpa Spiehs' house and went to wake up Sleeping Beauty Isaak. He usually is awake, but doesn't want to get out of the bed he sleeps in.

I said to Isaak, "Come on lets go! It's raining cats and dogs outside!" He sort of got ready once I told him it was raining.

He told me minutes later, "Come on lets leave! I want to see the raining cats and dogs!"

I had to break it to him that, "It's raining cats and dogs" is just a saying. Then went on to say it's just raining. There are no dogs and cats to see. He looked so confused.

Trip to the Zoo

Grandma and Grandpa Spiehs took the boys to the boys to the Henry Doorly Zoo today.

The main attraction was the Gorilla's Exhibit for them today.

Grandma said that a baby gorilla was trying to play peek-a-boo with them. Then a teenage gorilla was tickling the baby's feet.

Later on they went to see the wild cat's and a few other spots.

In the car ride home this is Mica and Isaak's conversation:

Isaak: "I not supposed to bang into the doors when I see the cats."
Mica: "Ya because if you do cats will scratch the glass, get out and eat your face!"
Isaak: "Ya then Gamma (Grandma) will kiss my face to make it all better."
Mica: "She can't kiss your face; if you don't have one!"
Isaak: "Oh."
