There's a water area right before you climb the dunes. I joked with the boys saying, "WOW this is just so much better than the beach!"
The trouble is, is that the dunes themselves get hot. Daddy and Mica climbed up them. Isaak walked back towards me. I was stuck in the water part with Isaak.
Here are Mica and Daddy on the dunes:
Isaak and I hung out on the faux beach. The sand is fine like beach sand.
Then a boy on the faux beach came up to Isaak and said, "Hey do you want to play The Lego Movie? The sand is crackle. If I get some on you, you can't move." So they threw crackle at each other. It was pretty funny.

Incredible. We just don't have that sort of thing here in the east.
Amazing shots! What a cool place to visit!
Happy Wordless Wednesday! :)
You sure have been having a interesting vacation! Lots of good memories for the family :)

Fun photos and what a fab place we have nowhere like that near London heheh!
Have a sandtastic week ;-)
We were at the sand dunes in North Carolina last year. Amazing.
Must have been so hot up the dunes! At least your hubby remembered to take some photos for you hehe
That looks like a fabulous place. Also, your kids are getting big.

Beautiful pictures! I've always wanted to go to Colorado!
I think I would have hung out on the faux beach too! Happy wordless!
Wow, just stunning. Very nice.
We have some dunes here, but nothing quite that impressive. We aren't allowed to climb them anymore because they are deteriorating from so much traffic. Last year a little boy got buried under one. Thankfully, he survived though.
So cool! What a breathtaking place! I would probably have stayed with you and Issak in the water! :)
Glad you and a good vacation!
Whoa! These are amazing photos! I especially love your skies!!! #WW
We have sand dunes in Michigan but I haven't been there yet. My gf from Ohio comes over here with her husband and leaves me her kids, hahaha, so she can go. It's okay though, I like her kids. ;)
Wow. Seeing those pictures makes me want to take a trip out to the West too. It's been awhile since I was out that way. But I notice now that I am older, there's a strange hesitation to leave home and travel very far. Maybe that is for young families.

This is an amazing place; yes sand can get like an oven when nothing else around, so thank heavens for 'the beach'! YAM xx
I want to go there! Look out, here I come with 'crackle', lol.
Seriously gorgeous place and pics!

I've never been to Colorado. That is an amazing area. I love that your son got to play "the Lego Movie" game with a new friend! :)
What BEAUTIFUL photos...
So glad that the Lego Movie has even more ways to be played ;)
This looks like an amazing place, would love to visit one day. How far into the dunes did you all go?
What a great place. Can you slide down the dunes on cardboard or is the sand too hot?
