The first artist I will cover is Joe Sorren. Joe creates editorial illustrations, paints for galleries, and has been working on instrumental CD called Songs for Pandas.
Sorren grew up in Arizona. Right now he lives in Florence, Italy. His first solo exhibit was in 1995.
He paints with acrylics | oils, and makes sculptures as well.
Sorren sells on his website prints, trading cards (small prints), and limited edition books. He's also done illustrations for The New Yorker. His work is playful, dark, twisted, dreamlike, and fun all wrapped up together. My husband says that he know why I have crazy dreams when I look at Sorren's work.
I love his image of the 3 Musketeers.

I think the art in this one is amazing. I really like it!! I'd like to visit Florence too, but that's besides the point, I suppose. ;)
I will show my artistic daughter this art. She might have already heard of him. She loves different art like this.

My niece will love this!
He definitely has a unique style. My sister is an artist and I bet she has heard of him before.
This is the kind of art that I gravitate towards. A little whimsical and far fetched, but so colorful, it always draws my eye.
How fun!
I am not familiar with this artist, but it is neat to learn of a new one. He is sort of out of the box, but not creepy. lol
