- Do you ever get that feeling that something bad is going to happen before it happens? I feel that way today.
- It started last night. The boys go to two different middles schools, yet in the same district. It's the biggest district in Omaha. Omaha is the biggest city in Nebraska.
At 6 I got a call from Mica's school listing off times to come get his stuff. It was like a 5 minute voicemail because his middle school goes from 5th to 8th grades; they didn't want them all showing up at once. I had to listen to it 3 times to get his Thursday, Friday, and Monday times. We landed on Thursday, but his Healthcare Teacher mentioned she wouldn't be there until Thursday night, so Friday it is.
At 8 Travis gets an email from Isaak's school saying that we had to fill out a survey to come get Isaak's things by 8. The email was sent at 6. Say what?! A two hour window of time around dinner. Families are supposed to see this. I check my email all the time, but not then. We filled it out, and sent it by 8:30.
I started thinking...why the rush? I get they probably want it done, but why not let us know earlier in the week? Then I was thinking too much per usual. Maybe the district knows something I don't know. We could have a state wide lock down really soon.
My husband thinks I'm nuts in thinking that. But nothing is too wacky right about now right? Have you had a lock down? We should have one. There are pockets of people that think this is still nothing to worry about. Maybe because our leader started this out saying it was a Democratic hoax, maybe they see our leaders all up close during press conferences like it's no worry, maybe it's because no one they know has gotten it, or maybe they figure what happens happens. Whatever the reason, they are careless. - All this is getting to Mica. He saw a picture of a bunch of kids from his middle school on his insta feed. They were laughing and playing. He said, "See this is what's wrong! These morons go to my school. They should be social distancing themselves. They are going to make it harder for me to go back to school!" He's right. He can't stand when people break the rules.
- One thing is for sure, the US has some cocky people. They think we're way better than virus that will kick their ass, along with all their family and friends. Great! Not! The land of the free makes some people think they can do anything on US turf. I love the US. I hate cocky people.
- I know things could get worse. Let's hope they go up. I do believe in the yin and yang. When bad things happen, something good has to happen to balance that out.

Random Tid Bits
- For a few weeks now I've been battling it out with computer problems. I think I have it fixed, nope, think again. It keeps fanning up like crazy when I'm on the internet! Under Activity Monitor it kept saying that my Mac was using over 100% CPU for Google Chrome Helper. I removed some things off that looks suspicious, it still fanned up once again! I read up on computer issues with Macs. I've had this one for quite some time. It's been virus free up until this point. I read up, and watched videos on how to fix my Mac. Finally a coworker convinced me to download Malwarebytes. I was incredibly nervous to download anything when something from the internet was clearly my issue. Like what if I downloaded a fake version of Malwarebytes, and then it would be worse off than it already was? That was my thinking. Malwarebytes detected 15 problems, and removed them! After that it continued to fan up. I did a system update, backed up my stuff again.
- Isaak starts a camp next week! It's an upcycled | Invention camp. I think he'll love it!
- Our family is into watching a show called Under the Dome. It's based off a Stephen King novel, and directed by Spielberg. It's not scary, just odd. Have you seen it? It's on Amazon Prime.
- Do you have sisters, brothers, or are/were you a single child? I have sisters, and there seems to be drama at many turns. I wouldn't say I'm a dramatic person, but I am like Isaak where I want things to be right. I don't like to leave people out, make people feel bad and so on.
- Do you have any big plans for the weekend? I think Isaak and I need to work on a craft. The boy will go to decorate cupcakes at a library, and Mica started volunteering for a few hours on Sunday at the library.
Now my boss can't see my back up on other macs. The battery life says, "Condition Replace Soon". That isn't good. So I need a new battery.

Random Tid Bits
- My work computer kept having the fan go off yesterday. I would shut it down, threw a bunch of stuff away, wouldn't have programs open, and it would still fan up. My co-worker helped me to figure out that I had a virus. Google was taking up 100% of my CPU. It took a bit, but is fixed now. I'm so glad I've procrastinated with transferring this computer to my new computer.
- Blogger has changed a bunch of stuff. I no longer get your comments in an email to approve, so I just assumed no one loved this blog enough to comment. I was wrong. They were tucked away, waiting for my approval.
- I've read this over and over again, and it makes no sense to me. What do I need to do? Where's this message (Blogger People) that they are talking about? I haven't removed any message, but I don't want to get red flagged to never be able to get on here again. Anyone know?
- I still in job land limbo. Two different companies wanted me. They are so far away in opposite directions. Both would do different things. Both interviews went great, they paid well, and I'd get benefits.
One place had me in twice. That place told me that they may need someone in earlier; before classes got over. He wanted me to message him anyhow. Even if he didn't have me working there, he wanted me to freelance write for him. I emailed him, and nothing. I'd call, but I don't know that I want the full time job. Distance, chemicals, and a company dog is what's pushing me away. They work on school folders, pens, and other school things. I'd have to deal with a lot of customers, and not so much with actual designing.
The other job is a Marketing Coordinator at a doctor's office. Basically I'd set up events, parties, and mingle with drunk doctors. Ha! It's just something she brought up. She seemed like she wanted me. Then she wouldn't return my emails. I found out they are looking for 3 top people for the job. When I applied, I was the only one. Again it's far away, it's a lot of tasks that would be new.
I've kept looking. Part of me thought well maybe I'll get my Teacher's Certificate to teach high school art. Even those jobs are few and far between. Another part of me was thinking, forget it all I'll make over $50,000 and be a postman. It was tempting! I'd have to pay $50 for an exam book, which is odd. Could you imagine driving in the ice and snow though? If I was making good money, had good benefits I could just work on art at home - off the clock and be satisfied. Travis thinks I'm nuts! Another part of me likes what I do here, and just thinks I'll stay yet another year. Do you think I'm a flake for being all over the place? - So I've been filling out applications, trying to get Facebook Blueprint Certified, dealing with a computer virus, updating my website like crazy and more. What are you up too?

Pinkeye, Pinkeye, Influenza, Influenza
Mica got sick with a virus shortly after he had surgery. It was right after New Years. It turned into pinkeye. Thank goodness for an on call nurse at the pediatrician's office. They called in drops for Mica's eyes. We didn't need to make the trip into the germ infested Urgent Care, where we would also bring germs to. His pinkeye went away in 2 days.
5 days later I got sick. I started feeling better, and stopped by an art opening. My Mom said, "Your eyes are pink!" I had just looked in the mirror right before I left. Sure enough I got pinkeye too. That night I couldn't even open my eyes up. I looked like a stoned boxer that was in a fight. No matter how many times I'd clean my eyes they'd goop right up again.
One thing I learned from Mica's nurse was to clean pinkeyes with wet cotton balls. Then you can just throw them out. I had to do a few hot washcloths to take the swelling down.
It was course the weekend again! My doctor's office doesn't have an on call nurse. So I did what I wasn't supposed to do; I used Mica's drops for my eyes. It worked, but it took me 4 days to get over my pinkeye. My eyes were still still sore for a few days after that.

On Wednesday Travis came down with something. I thought for sure it was the virus leading in to pinkeye too. He never got pinkeye. He's been dead to the world though. I'm pretty sure he had Influenza. More than likely a small strain. Travis never got a fever.
Now Mica's been sneezing, snotting, has a headache, and body aches. I think he has what Travis had. He slept almost all day. He doesn't have a fever either.
So far it's skipped Isaak. *Figures crossed he doesn't get it!
I've been cleaning and doing laundry like mad! Since it was warmer today I opened the house up.
Has anyone in your family been sick?
