WW: Toilet Paper Rolls {Linky}

I decided when the pandemic happened that I wouldn't hoard toilet paper. I in fact bought a lot before the pandemic went down. 

Instead of hoarding toilet paper, I hoarded the toilet paper rolls. 

I decided to cut them, paint them, and cut them into 1/4" strips. 

Then it was weaving time! At first I didn't like how the process went. Weaving with thin cardboard isn't quite the same at weaving with fabric. I eventually got the hang of it. Clothes pins work great as clamps. 

The table runner is coming out pretty good. The sections will be painted with varnish. I have to decide if I want to sew them together, or sew them to a fabric backing.

I love socks! A new pair feels a lot like sleeping in new sheets in a bed.

We have this story called Socks for Christmas that is about a kid that was so poor that he only got things like socks and shoes for Christmas. It’s a beautiful story that makes you appreciate all you have. Ever since I got this book, I get the boys and I a new pair of socks for Christmas.

Blues, Pinks, Purples, Browns and Tans are just some of the colors in these socks. They have fun patters, where you can mix match the socks, or wear them as their intended pairs. I'm more a wear them as their intended pairs kind of a person, but know there are people out there that hardly match their socks. I know they wash up nice because I have another set that I bought prior to getting these to review. The ones I had already are different colored though.

Fashion Rainbow Women Ethnic Style Blouse Review

I love to wear things that have patterns on them. Recently I got Fashion Rainbow Women Ethnic Style Blouse to review. It has all kinds of colors, and patterns on it.

Material:

It's made with 100% rayon. It's a very soft fabric, loose, comfortable, and cool.

Clothing length including Tassel: 35", Shoulder: 19'', Cuff Width: 9", Bust: 34'', Tassel length: 10''-11''.

The Things I Love:

I love that it is lightweight. I really feel like I'm not wearing anything extra. It could be worn in any season. I could see it with a long sleeve shirt, short sleeve shirt, dress, or swimming wrap. The patterns and colors are really pretty. It has a lot of different colors in it, so it can go with different things. It can be worn to dress up, or to dress casual.

 

Dislikes:

I really don't like the bottom of this vest! The fringes get caught on everything including the table, sitting down on a chair, a cart I walked by, and Isaak likes to pull on them. What happens is that one is pulled making it long, which makes the others around it short. I just wish the fringes were gone. I'm going to see if I can remove them. I like everything else about the vest. 

Care:

It says on Amazon that this can be washed in the washer using cold water. It's suggested to hand wash. I think the fringes would be a disaster after 1 washing. I plan on only spot cleaning this. The shirt under it would the item of clothing I'd need to wash anyhow.

Size: 

It's One Size Fits Most. I'm a size Large. They have the suggested sizes: XS-L.

I normally don't wear vests, but I love how this adds color and patterns to what I'm wearing. Do you ever wear vests, cardigans, kimono, or a sweater as a pop of color?

The Tale Of My New Tights

I'm loosing weight, but I'm not skinny. I'm not old, but I'm not young either.

My lovely husband decided to go to the mall to get me 2 pair of tights for Christmas. Instead of going into a legit store, he went into a small kiosk to get them. There is no returning these tights. Most tights in my mind are for college aged kids and younger. Not for 30 and 40 year olds. *Please take no offense if you wear them. They are just not my thing.

I bought 1 pair, and they were thicker tights. Still risky in my mind. I bought them for my husband just as much as myself.

I decided to go to this kiosk to try and return them. Of course it said on the receipt that you can only trade them in 3 days time. I tried to play dumb. Ya that didn't work.

I said to him, "Never buy something at a place like that again...EVER!" For the record they are being worn under my pants when it's cold.

He said, "Man you need to be more adventurous with how you dress. Show off your sexy side." He then said, "I'm not getting you anything anymore."

All weekend I've been sticking out my chest, walking all funny, and singing I'm Every Woman by Whitney Huston. He came up to me and said, "Why are you walking that way?" I said, "I'm practicing my sexy walk. I'm bringing sexy back." 

He laughed and said, "Well it's really not working for you." 

I said, "I'm doing all for you babe." ;)

Before we left the mall I saw these shoes:

I said, "Travis you have to get these shoes!" 

He said, "Whatever." 

I said, "You have got to try them on for me. They match the tights you bought me. You need to learn to be more adventurous in the way you dress."

He tried them on to amuse me, but didn't buy them.

Later I messaged him something I want him to buy to be more adventurous you know.

The sad thing was is that he didn't know if I was serious, or joking. I was so joking. Not that there's anything wrong with this shirt, it's just not me, or my husband. It sure matches the tights he bought me though.

While I appreciate the thought, stick with getting me things I ask for, or get something at a place where I can return an item if needed.

For the record he's not mad at me, and I'm not mad at him. While I appreciate him getting me things I just want to make sure I can use those things. The same goes for him. If a gift I got him wasn't going to be used I'd want him to take it back to get something that can be used.
