I cut this cabbage, but it reminded me of a paint swatch. It's a Pantone Cabbage.

WW: Toilet Paper Rolls {Linky}
I decided when the pandemic happened that I wouldn't hoard toilet paper. I in fact bought a lot before the pandemic went down.
Instead of hoarding toilet paper, I hoarded the toilet paper rolls.
I decided to cut them, paint them, and cut them into 1/4" strips.
Then it was weaving time! At first I didn't like how the process went. Weaving with thin cardboard isn't quite the same at weaving with fabric. I eventually got the hang of it. Clothes pins work great as clamps.
The table runner is coming out pretty good. The sections will be painted with varnish. I have to decide if I want to sew them together, or sew them to a fabric backing.
What crazy projects have you worked on lately?

WW: I Like This Wall More Than My Children {Linky}
I'm only kidding with the title. That day there may have been some slight truth to it. The boys were grumpy, and the wall is cool!
I finally plugged in my camera to get more of the cool wall and boys off. I may reshoot. It was a day of picking on each other. Even if it's cloudy, the sun is always in Isaak's eyes, but somehow not in Mica's. Ha!

Macochoi Women’s Vintage Style Wool Cashmere Thick Warm Socks have cool patterns and colors on them!
We have this story called Socks for Christmas that is about a kid that was so poor that he only got things like socks and shoes for Christmas. It’s a beautiful story that makes you appreciate all you have. Ever since I got this book, I get the boys and I a new pair of socks for Christmas.
Five Pairs:
Blues, Pinks, Purples, Browns and Tans are just some of the colors in these socks. They have fun patters, where you can mix match the socks, or wear them as their intended pairs. I'm more a wear them as their intended pairs kind of a person, but know there are people out there that hardly match their socks. What about you: Do you match your socks, or wear mixed matched socks?
Mixed Matched:
Matched:
Materials:
Wool and Cashmere
I know they wash up nice because I have another set that I bought prior to getting these to review. The ones I had already are different colored though.
One things for sure, these socks go with a lot of different things in my closet!
You can pick them up on Amazon for $11.99 - that's for all 5 pairs! Get them here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0782ZVX8Q
Do you like socks with designs on them, or do you go with plain socks most of the time?
Disclaimer: I got these socks for a discounted price in exchange for an honest review. The company did not influence my review. All opinions are my own.

Isaak colored the cat card for his teacher:
I colored a flower for someone that will need a card:
I colored with a lot of hatching lines. Isaak asked about my method of coloring. I talked to him about hatching, cross hatching, bracelet shading, and solid shading.
It was fun to color. We didn't finish them, while Mica's hair was getting cut. We went home and we colored some more.
Each Card Comes:
- With thick paper stock. This ensures that there is no bleeding through when gel pens, or markers are used.
- With a blank inside. You can make the card whatever you want.

Ice Cream
Once upon a time my 7 year old nephew Elijah was slightly annoyed because people kept making comments about his brother Evan's hair (which is red), and never made any comments about his hair (which is blond).
I made an effort to comment about Elijah's hair whenever I saw him. I'm kind of weird... I said, "I just want to eat your hair! It reminds me of vanilla ice cream. No one can pass up vanilla! You're so lucky that you have so many flavors of ice cream hair in your family. You have Evan's strawberry, your vanilla, Emerson's chocolate, and Edison's vanilla strawberry swirl. We only have chocolate in our family."
How I referred to hair color being like ice cream flavors must have stuck. My nephews were talking about different ice cream flavors in comparison to hair color.
They call me "Aunt Lissy". One of them said, "Aunt Lissy's hair is Rocky Road Ice Cream." The other said, "The grey streaks are the marshmallows."
I don't have any problem with people coloring their hair. In fact I think it's fun with all the colors that are out there. Plain colors are natural looking, and fun in their own way to.
Those that color their hair do not have Rocky Road Ice Cream hair like me. I suppose blond highlights could be marshmallows to. I picked a Rocky Road Ice Cream with even more yummy chunks added. Ha

In all seriousness I'm just glad Elijah's happy with his hair color now. He's my vanilla boy.
When I was little I was envious of my older sister Angela's hair. Her hair is strawberry blond, so it's strawberry vanilla swirl ice cream.
I always wanted red headed children. It's a recessive gene. My Dad is a true red head. I know they are more sensitive to the sun, have thinner skin, and get more freckles. They are also more on the rare side, which makes them unique.
I am happy with my brown hair, brown eyed boys. Chocolate is wonderful!
What color of hair do you like?
What's your favorite flavor of ice cream?

AmazaPens 24 Gel Coloring Pens
AmazaPens has a variety of pens that work great! It comes with 24 Gel Ink Pens:
- Black
- Grey
- White
- 3 Purples
- 4 Blues
- 2 Reds
- 4 Pinks
- 1 Orange
- 3 Yellows
- 4 Greens
The colors that have a sparkle look to their lid are sparkly when you draw with them. The set comes with 12 Glitter, 6 Neon, and 6 Pastel.
I put them in color order. I used to put my crayons in color order like this when I was a kid.
Cost: $29.99 and on sale for $19.99. This would make a great gift for someone for the holidays coming up. I could see teachers loving this set.
The set is non toxic and acid free. The colors will not eat holes through your paper as time goes on.
These pens are longer lasting then other ones on the market. If you are tired of your pens drying out just use these. You won't have problems with them drying of in the middle of a project. AmazaPens have 40% extra ink than most colored pens so they LAST LONGER and won't run out just as you're getting inspired! I did find that the lighter colors were harder to put down then the darker colors.
They have a soft rubber grip that feels great to hold and will let you draw, write, journal or just scribble for hours on end! I found them to have a very comfortable grip.
Glitter pens have 1mm ballpoint tips, neon & pastel have 0.8mm tips. Great for Mind Mapping, Writing, Adult coloring books, scrapbooking and all other artistic creations! Use along side your coloring pencils and markers. I used them along side of a regular school red pen. I had started my coloring with the red pen, so continued it.
These are pen that I will share with my kids. Isaak loves art, and Mica sometimes has to color coat homework assignments.

RELAX: Deep Relaxing Mandala Coloring Patterns and Calming Designs Review
I always loved to color when I was a kid. Oh who am I kidding? I like to color now.
I got RELAX: Deep Relaxing Mandala Coloring Patterns and Calming Designs (Adult Coloring Book Book 1 to review. It's made by Craft Haven.
I think that even a non artist would love this coloring book! It's purpose is to help adults take their mind of of everyday tasks.
Ideas on Where to Use it:
A Few Other Pages:
I'm a teacher for Color and Design Theory. I can see where it may be hard for some people to pick out colors. I picked out a triadic color scheme, which are 3 colors equally spaced on the color wheel that form a triangle: Red-Violet, Yellow-Orange, and Blue-Green. I veered a little, but pretty much stayed within those colors.
I tell my students to pick out ads they like in magazines/online to use in their projects.
There's also an online adobe resource called Adobe Color that's free online to use. It gives you colors that work well together.

Ideas on Where to Use it:
- Take it to the doctor, or dentist office to use in the waiting area.
- Take it to the kid's swimming lessons, or other sporting event.
- Color while watch a movie at home.
- Take it on vacation to have something to do in the car if you are a passenger.
A Few Other Pages:
Things I Like About RELAX: Deep Relaxing Mandala Coloring Patterns and Calming Designs:
- Each design is different. You'll never find yourself coloring the same image over and over again.
- Craft Haven has additional pages that you can download for free off their site!
- The cost is reasonable.
- It's a great gift for artists or non artists. I could see my sister that's into health and wellness liking this!
Things I Wish This Book Had:
- I wish it had perforated edges. Then if you like your design you could take it out easily to hang up. If someone else wanted to try coloring, you could easily rip a page out for them to color.
- Making the paper thicker to again last longer, and make it more permanent to hang up.
- I think it would be great if a small set of colored pencils, or gel pens went with it. They could up their cost just a little bit to accommodate the coloring utensils.

Acrylic Paint Set By Color Gallery Review
I love Acrylic Paint Set By Color Gallery to review. These are sold by: Ander Blake Company.
You can buy this set of acrylics on Amazon for$24.99 - on sale for $13.95.
I can tell when paint is cheap when it looks chalky, or see through - companies add white, or a filler of clear paint. This brand isn't cheap! The paint is thick.
Painted Wooden Glasses
I bought plain wooden glasses in the clearance section at a craft store. The boys wanted to paint them. Mica was set on making his purple, and Isaak wanted his to be grey. I tried talking them into having a different color for the rims, or adding hardware bling, but they would have it.
Mixing
We started out talking about mixing colors. Mica wanted his glasses to be purple. I asked him what two colors makes a good purple? He answered right, red and blue. I told Mica that Midnight Blue and Crimson make a great purple.
Isaak wanted his glasses to be grey. I asked Isaak if he wanted a flat grey using Titanium White and Mars Black, or a blue grey by adding Blue Lake to the mix? He wanted a flat grey.
The color comes out looking just like the color shown on the tube. The paint is thick, buttery and easy to mix.
Then I had a discussion about how it's important to not get paint all the way up through the bristles with Isaak. That's hard on the brush. It loosens the glue, which holds the bristles in.
Like I said the paint is nice and thick, so touch up was minimal.
Finished Glasses
Isaak said, "I have to have lenses Mom!" I took a plastic apple container and cut the bumps off for Isaak's lenses. I'll show more of these photos later this week.
Acrylic Paint Set By Color Gallery is a wonderful introductory set, people that want to try out painting, or people that paint every once in awhile. There's a wide range of colors, and the paint is great quality.
You can use them to paint on canvas, fabric, wood and more.
For people that paint regularly, on a bigger scale I'd buy bigger tubes.
I love the vibrate quality of the color!
What color would you use first?
