Wiley’s Finest makes a vegan non-GMO Omega 3 Liquid Supplement. 

Why is it important that it's vegan even to those that are meat eaters? Because some of the Omega 3 supplements are not, and they leave a fish flavor in your mouth.

This Omega 3 supplement actually has a mango flavor. It can be mixed with water. 

Packaging:

It came inside a box, wrapped up in bubble wrap, and the lid had plastic on it.

I love that they fill the bottle up! So much waited packaging, but not with Wiley's Finest.

The packaging looks great, but is a bit hard to read. It's hard to determine how much to give. I wish it came with a dropper that said how many drops = a dose.

We usually have a smoothie each morning. Since I've lost my job, for the time being we're laying low and having a big tall glass of water most mornings.

I got the cutest Mini Burt's Bees Relaxation basket in the mail today! It was wrapped up, and packaged all pretty like.

Stocked full of Burt's Bee products:

I'm most excited for the hand creams, salve, and cuticle cream. I was already washing my hands a lot before COVID-19 hit. I wash them before and after holding Sunny our gecko. Now I wash them even more. Plus I do dishes. My hands feel dry. I hope all the Burt's Bee products help.

I've used Burt's Bees products before, and do like all these. As for a package I do think it would be helpful to have more variety. There's two hand creams, and one hand salve. Possibly add in a lip tint, or a bar of soap.

WW: Man VS Nature {Linky}

A beautiful sculpture that stands for peace, and a car window was slammed on top of it. This had nothing to do with the protests. I took this way before that was happening. In a way I liked the contrast; even though it wasn't supposed to be.

Dandelion Shortbread Cookies

I continued on with making dandelion everything I could find online. Mica and Isaak rolled their eyes when I had them pick as many yellow flowers as they could. In my deep freezer I have a back stock of dandelion flowers.

Some recipes I added, or subtracted this or that.

Dandelion Shortbread Cookies did not disappoint. I was expecting the boys to put their nose up at me, instead they asked for a 2nd cookie.

What I added from the original recipe: 

Vanilla!

There isn't a lot of ingredients. 

There is no need to frost them.

I love putting a tie on cookies. Seriously it takes something bland, and turns it into being cute!

Travis said that he couldn't even taste the dandelion.

WW: A Raisin in the Sun {Linky}

Many, many weeks back my husband and I went to see A Raisin in the Sun at Omaha Community Playhouse. I went through my old work laptop, and found the images. I was so happy to have won tickets! A big thank you goes out to my ENT office on FB! I've won tickets to see two different shows through them.

They won't let you photograph the show because it's a huge distraction to the actors.

With everything going on in the news I thought it was a perfect week to post it.

1. I didn't even know today was Friday. That's how out of the loop I am.


2. I've been applying to all kinds of different jobs. Trying to keep an open mind. Travis is like, "What are you doing?! You don't want to do that."

4. My sister has been helping me with my resume. I like the wording changes she's made, but hate the layout. She had someone look at it that hires people. She wanted me to break everything up into bullet points. It's just bullet crazy now. 5. I went to pick up everything at work. I had a trunk full! I did demos, so lots of art supplies! I had a lot of art books. It was all very overwhelming. An end to an 18 year chapter is hard.

Closure and Depression :(

Many of you know I've been looking for jobs off and on, for a few years. I had opportunities that were close to happening. I had opportunities I had to pass up because I was under a contract.

I only had a few months to look for work during the summer time. Even then, the school I work for had me sign that contract, for the fall almost as soon as the summertime hit.

It was really hard to move in any direction, but straight.

We were told that we could work from home late March. Online classes were hard. I think I could get used to them, but it was different from what I developed before. I stayed up until 10 almost every night during finals time; working on tests.

Yesterday we had a staff meeting. It was just a few of us. My boss said that enrollment was already low, and got impossible when COVID-19 hit. They decided to close the school down, for this incoming class. Along with that went the full time instructors.

Was I surprised? Not really.

Was I sad? Yes. I mean I've been there, since 2002. Before I even had kids.

Was I panicked? Certainly! I had a bite of a job before COVID-19 hit. Well I emailed them again, and they picked someone else. I felt so good about that interview. To be honest I was more mad at them, than getting laid off. I really wanted that job. The person that interviewed me said she'd let me know as soon as a decision was made. They majorly dragged their feet in deciding. Now I'm stabbing at anything trying to get something. During a pandemic it's not really the time to be picky.

I just paid a $1,000 bill for Travis' endoscopy, Travis needs a crown, and I paid our mortgage bill.

I have tons of stuff on my work computer, because I've had it for ages. I don't have any of the Adobe Suit on my home laptop. Scrabble time!

Even though I'm sad, I'm most concerned about Isaak. There's days now where he just wants to lay in bed. Granted he's been going to bed late, but he seems depressed. I don't know what to do. It's not like I can drop everything to spend time with him. I'm applying to places.

If you don't see me much, it's because I'm on the hunt. The job hunt. Who knows maybe I will have to let off steam, and blog. Then you have to listen to me rant. Ha! Please be safe! Our hospitals here are filling up fast, since things have opened up. I love my blogger friends. I don't want to kiss you, but I love your comments, and friendship!

Wooden #Puzzles for Toddlers

Not too long ago, I was told I'm going to be an aunt again. My nieces and nephew's call me Aunt Lissy. I'm excited to have a niece after many years. I have only one other niece, and she's around the age of 26. I start to loose track, once a person goes past the age of 10. She was born when I was in college, so I think I have her age right. Margaret will be born late August. She'll have 4 brothers. Help her! Ha!

Along with the excitement of having a new girl in the family, I have new products to review. One, is a puzzle set for Miss Margaret. I hope she finds it to build her fine motor skills well.

Age Range:

It says for ages 3 and up. 

Mica got into puzzles well before age 3. It probably depends on the child.

My favorite:

Olivia the Owl is my favorite. They aren't named, but I named them. 

Second Favorite:

I love bees because they are cute, and if you leave them alone they aren't a threat. I called his one Bella Bee. 

Third Favorite:

I like this one, although I think the fish could pop out more - contrast wise. A lot of yellow in the background, and a lot of yellow in the fish. I called his one Fishy Faith.

Fourth Favorite:

I like this one just about as much as the fish, but I have to be honest here - the background totally peeled up. It's like it wasn't even glued down. If a 3 year old kid got ahold of that, it would be a goner. It's cute, but give me a held up product! I will probably paint Elmer's glue on it, and place it myself. I called his one Lizzy Lady.

The Bag:

The bag isn't a quality bag, but it's handy. What little kid doesn't like to carry stuff around, and pretend to go on a nowhere trip? I can't think of one. Isaak always packed to go nowhere. All the puzzles fit inside.

Random Tid Bits

1. Today is Graduation Day, for the college I work at. I'm kind of sad about it it. Usually there's a rented place, gowns, top portfolio awards, funny awards that a goofball instructor says, and a ceremony.
   
   This year it will be a Zoom video that will literally be just the Director talking, and a bunch of names read off. No speeches, no special awards, and no funny awards. Usually inside I roll my eyes at the funny awards, but this year I'll miss them. I am goofy, but I always felt like a graduation wasn't really the time, or the place for it.


2. I was invited to a past friends daughter's graduation. She babysat, for us once. Her siblings are in Mica and Isaak's classes. We've kind of parted ways. Not because we don't like each other. It's just that we all got busy, and their kids went to a different middle school, than our boys. Do I A. Send a card and money, or do I B. Just not do anything?
   
   Then our neighbor graduated high school. We literally only say, "Hi" and maybe a 5 minute conversation. We've invited them over early on when we moved to our house. The people across the street have had many neighbors over, invited them, and they never show up. We don't ever get a Christmas card. We weren't invited to anything. I only know their son is graduating because they have a banner in front of their house. Do I A. Send a card and money, or do I B. Just not do anything?
   
   I'm not saying I need to get something to give something. It's not like that! I just don't know what's expected, or is there a right thing to do? I don't really feel like I know these kids. If they had a party I'd show up. Then I'd justify giving because we went to the party. I'm leaning more towards giving anyhow. How much do you give to this kid you don't know? I think too much! Maybe I'm overthinking this because of the talk about us possibly going into another Great Depression. I have no idea what will happen with my job, when the fall rolls around.


3. Every year I look at my disgusting windows and think, "Man they need to be cleaned!" Travis is like, "Who cares!". Well apparently I do care. It really doesn't take that long, it looks better, and I feel better after doing it. He grinds metal below our 3 main windows. Boy do they get dirty!
   
   This year Mica helped. He helped reach where I couldn't. It was wonderful!
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
   
4. Mr. Mica has been acting like a third parent. Has anyone else's kid done this? I know Isaak's 12, a punk-a-monk age. Travis is back at work, and I'm supposed to be working here. He's like, "Mom you should be more strict with Isaak. He's getting away with this _______." The blank changes with the day. What he's getting away with, is the same stuff Mica did when he was Isaak's age.


5. I have about 3 doctor appointments coming up: Both boys have a check-up + Allergy Doctor for me. I'm not going to lie, I'm kind of not wanting to go considering how lackadaisical people have been in Omaha. Many don't wear masks at all. Do you feel this way, when you leave the house?
