Quench Your Thirst With #LinkitAdventure

Ever since the pandemic hit the U.S. I've been trying to up my intake of water, and lower my sweet tooth. There is less temptation at home. I don't have a candy bowl sitting right by the front door.

When I drink more water, I’m less hungry for snacks. I like the 10 color options for #LinkitAdventure + its vacuum sealed. Mica’s free to take this to high school next year. #sp https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082TLS8K7?ref=myi_title_dp

The Tale of Mica's Water Bottle:

I've gotten Mica, so many water bottles. It's not always his fault that they've been damaged, or missing. The first nice one I got him a boy in his class decided he was going to pick it up, and throw it at another student he was mad at. The boy was punished, but Mica's water bottle wasn't ok.

I got him another stylish water bottle, that he left in a class. He went back, and the water bottle was awol.

After that they made a rule that no one could carry a water bottle. I'm assuming some were trying to sneak alcohol into school. Maybe I'm naive, but I could not see Mica drinking at all. He's such a rule follower, he won't even jaywalk.

Mica most certainly needs a water bottle. Even if he can't carry one in high school (a new school), he can have one for Quiz Bowl, Cross Country and Track.

Now he has a new one!

It’s essential to stay hydrated. Since the pandemic stated I’ve been trying to walk once or twice a day, and up my drinking. I drag Mica along. If anything he needs to start training for Cross Country.

Vacuum Sealed:

This water bottle is rated A+ because it's vacuum sealed. Water stays cold inside it.

Bottoms Up:

This is the bottom. I do wish it was a bit more grip like. A full metal bottom makes it kind of slippery, and prone to fall over.

The Perfect Amount:

It holds a lot of water.

Colors:

They have 10 colors to choose from, which is more than most water bottles come in. We happened to get black to review. I like many of their colors.

  1. Black
  2. Frost
  3. Lava
  4. Mint
  5. Orange
  6. Pink
  7. Rose
  8. Seafoam
  9. Stainless
  10. Violet

What color would you choose?

Where to Get Link it Adventure Water Bottle:

You can get it on Amazon Prime for $15.99 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082TLS8K7?ref=myi_title_dp.

AncordWorks Portable Bluetooth #speaker #sp #review

AncordWorks has a great bluetooth outdoor speaker!

What we tried the sound out on:

Yesterday we as a family went to Mica's school to play Goalball. Have you ever heard of it? I hadn't. It's a game were we got taught how to play from visually impaired people. We had to wear blinders, the lines in the gym stuck up (the were wires taped down), and the balls had bells inside them. Mica tossed a lot of of balls out of bounds (not a penalty though), and Isaak got so turned around he tossed the ball towards his own net. It was for Mica's Healthcare Academy. I recorded a some of the play, and played the video on the AncordWorks speaker.

Here's the original video:

Now here's the video playing on AncordWorks Portable Bluetooth Speaker:

The speaker has protected buttons:

This is where cords get plugged in. It's covered by a hard plastic, and clips into place.

The power, play, and so on are hard silicone buttons:

Clip It:

If you are on the move, you can clip the speaker to your pants, coat, overalls, or anything else really. The clip is really durable.

Water, Water, Everywhere:

Sometimes the best time to relax is when you take a shower, a bath, are in a pool, in a lazy river, or on a beach. The speaker comes with a little tiny raft. You can blow it up, and strap the speaker into place. The straps are a bit loose, so if we use it like this, we'll be sure to tighten them up. The speaker won't get damaged if a little water splashes up on it.

AncordWorks Portable Bluetooth Speaker is great holiday gift! Do you have a portable speaker? You can get it on Amazon Prime for $34.99 http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CHCNMXN

Rainrop Men Garden Shoes

These Raindrop Garden Shoes are perfect with all the rain we’ve been getting. In Omaha it's been raining for a week now. It's rained more now than it did all spring. It turns summer tomorrow!

They come in 6 different sizes:

  • 7
  • 7.5
  • 8
  • 8.5
  • 9
  • 9.5
So they won't fit my Dad that has 15 AAA shoes, but they do fit Mica.

He likes that they breathe, are easy to slip on and off, and are waterproof.

    Styles:

    • Black with beige bottoms (the ones we got to review)
    • Blue with white bottoms
    • Black with yellow bottoms
What style would you pick? I like the sporty look of the black with yellow, but felt like blue and black with beige would be more practical.

    Where to Get Them:

You can get them on Amazon Prime http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D53CH65 for between $9.99 to $19.99.

    Breathable:

They have holes all over. I don't the fact that they are breathable. No foot smell. No chance of foot fungus. Ewww!

    WW: Shower Time {Linky}

Most people wouldn't end there shower with, "Hey son can you get me my camera? No worries! I have a towel on."

I just had to capture the water drips.

Do you ever stop what your are doing just to snap some random photos?

    Rainy!

I really don't mind the rain. Well I do mind that my office ceiling leaks, and it's been "fixed" about 15 times. We've had rain the last 6 days, and it's still raining.

Our airport received 5.25 inches by 5 pm yesterday, breaking the previous record for this date of 1.97 inches set in 1977. It was also the sixth highest daily rainfall of all time in Omaha. The most ever recorded was the 6.46 inches that fell on August 7, 1999.

We're not having flooding problems, but others are. Not too far from us in Council Bluffs, some Iowa schools had to close because it's a flood plain.

Car after car is getting stuck in the muck.

Approximately seven inches of rain fell in Council Bluffs overnight. Streets were filled with water Wednesday, parking lots along were swamped. Some tree limbs were down and they took power lines with them.

Where I live in Omaha it's just been raining and raining. On Tuesday hail came with the rain.

Yesterday I had a major assignment due. The students were on panic mode because it was raining. How could they possibly get it done on time when they have to spray their projects outside? We opened up a door in the school garage for them to use. I still had a low number of students that turned the project in. I think everyone is just off from the weather.

It feels like it's spring, but it's fall.

What has the weather been like where you live?

    Dancing Raisins

First off Mica used to have fights with his cousin when the Sun•Maid raisin commercials would come on, "That's my Momma." "No that's my Momma." This went on for a year. I think Evan started it. Silly boy!

My kids are busy this week figuring out their Science Fair projects.

Isaak is working on Dancing Raisins.

Clear Soda and Sparkling water both worked. The raisins were dancing up and down. They pick up the bubbles of the carbonation and float to the top, then sink back down. They keep doing this. It's fun to watch.

I knew just plain H2O wouldn't work, but I wanted Isaak to try it out. The raisins just sank to the bottom. They just soaked up the water and laid there.

If you let the raisins stay in each of the drinks for awhile they get fat, and look like grapes.

Hydracentials Sporty 25 oz Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle Review

I'm a water drinker. At work I go through a lot of water.

I bring my own water to work. I bring water because...
    • Omaha has the 7th worst drinking water in America.
    • My work only has water that is out of the faucet, with no filter.
    • I'm still trying to work at loosing weight. To do that flushing out my system with water is so very important. I need to keep track of how much I drink.
    • I'm in the classroom much of the time, so water needs to be in something covered to prevent spills.
I don't like to drink out of plastic because of the chemicals in it. Also if I do want tea, plastic can't go in the microwave. Up to this point I've been drinking out of empty Marzetti Salad Dressing glass jars. They have lids, and can be microwaved.

There is a slight problem I have with drinking out of glass; I've dropped 2 of them. They broke, sharp glass pieces, and water went everywhere. Students also joke about how I have moonshine in my glass container. It does look like moonshine.

I got a Hydracentials Sporty 25 oz Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle to Review.

No it can't be microwaved, but there are so many other perks to this water bottle! I still have a glass jar for hot tea at work for tea. Now for the most part it doesn't look like I'm drinking moonshine.
Price: $34.95, and on sale for $27.95.
    • It has a flip cap and straw for drinking. That helps, so water doesn't spill out when it's being transported.

    • It has a double wall vacuum insulation.
    • Ice will fit in the opening.
    • It really keeps drinks cold for hours.

    • It's BPA free, and eco friendly.
    • It holds a lot of water (25 ounces to be exact), which is what I need.
    • It's stylish. I do like the white. For those that do not like white, it's the only value/color it comes in right now.
    • It has a rubber base, so it doesn't clang when you set it down on a table.
    • It fits its easily is most cup holders Product Dimensions: 12" H x 3.25" W Capacity: 25oz (750ml).
    • It's great for the gym, biking, hiking, and taking all kinds of places.

What do you drink out of? What is your preferred drink?

At first the boys were so timid to go in. Then when they did Mica was a crazy man.

    Good Old Boys

Ahhh...sleep does wonders. I put the boys to bed early two nights in a row, and on Friday they were GREAT!

No tempers at all that day or evening.

We went swimming at the Y and it was fun.

We played an odd form of tag in the water. One person was a shark, the next one that was tagged was a whale, then it was a jelly fish. We were buzzing around the swimming pool trying to keep away from these dangerous things.

Then Isaak, Mica and I pretended we were Stay Puft Marshmallow Men from Ghost Busters. Daddy swam up to us and we all had our cheeks puft out. We were stomping around in the water. He's like, "What the heck?" Then I told him what we were.

    WW: Splash {Linky}

This last weekend I took the boys to a water pad. They loved it!

Mica's in the blue trunks and Isaak's in the crab ones.

This photo cracks me up! I think many little boys have tried this!

Mica kept screaming when he went through this. I have no clue why. I'm just glad we were the only ones there.

Of course water has to be Karate chopped and kicked.

We went to a water splash park on our vacation to Chicago as well.

They got to release some energy!

The walls they were running under had faces that kept changing. It was super cool to watch!
