Spider-Man T-Shirt Review

A long time ago I got a Captain America shirt to review. Mica's loved it so much. When the company offered another shirt to review I jumped at the chance. Isaak picked Spider-Man! He's always been one of my favorites as well.

Isaak said, "Is this what I'm wearing for Halloween?" He could. I said, "This is a shirt you can wear anytime." He was so happy about that.

Since I reviewed the Captain America shirt awhile back I can tell you that the colors do hold up. All the shirts have designs all around the shirt.

You can get their shirts here: https://babiesrhere.com/products/t-shirt-superman-batman-spider-man-captain-america-hulk-iron-man-t-shirt-men-fitness-shirts-men-t-shirts

They have:
  • Superman
  • Batman
  • Spider-Man
  • Captain America
  • Hulk
  • Iron Man
Sizes:
  • Small
  • Medium
  • Large
  • XL
  • XXL
  • XXXL
  • XXXXL
I got Isaak an Adult Medium. No more kid sizes for my boys. Their sizes run small! Isaak fits in an Adult Small, but I knew from the Captain America shirt that they run small, so I got an Adult Medium. I wouldn't want to get it any smaller considering it's fall, and will be awhile before it's summer again. Although it's now technically fall, and it's been in the 90s for much of this week. That's unusual for Nebraska.

Design:

I love that the design travels to the back! It's so cool!

Since I've asked you what your favorite superhero is before, I'll ask you this: If you could have a super power, what would it be? I think I've been asked that question 100 50 times by my boys. I'd probably pick the ability to disappear. Then I could watch my children, but I wouldn't hear, "Mom!" over and over again. I'd like to see how they could handle their own problems with me out of sight.

Disclaimer: I got this Spider-Man shirt for a discounted price in exchange for an honest review. This company didn't influence my review. I only review products I think will fit my family, or my readers.

The Things They Say

For some reason this is floating around my Omaha friends on Facebook. It's creepy things kids have said. It must have been on the radio, or news.

My kids have said some creepy things. Mica used to stand over me saying nothing, just staring at me when he woke up before me. He wasn't saying anything, but it was pretty darn creepy!

This last weekend we went grocery store shopping. We passed through the meat section and Mica stopped in his tracks and said, "Mom is that a human body?" It was big hunk of meat.

I'm so not right and said, "Maybe." His eyes turned wide. Then I said, "No it's just a part of a cow."

We got up to the check out and the guy in front of us had tons of meat. He was either stocking up, or having a BBQ party. Mica got a little too close to the gentleman in question. I said, "Mica back up a little bit." Mica said, "Well I just want to know what kind of meat that is?" I said, "He thinks that is a human body!" Out loud. The man laughed and said, "If that was a human body, this place wouldn't be open."

Tonight in the car Isaak says out of the blue, "Mom I'm going to climb the house like Spider-Man. It's ok if I fall and die."

I'm like, "?????" Kind of crazy coming from a kid who doesn't like the idea of people passing away. Just an FYI we rarely talk about death and we don't watch the news until they are in bed.

Spider-Man Has a Heart!

Mica was invited to a birthday party on Saturday night. I was going to take Isaak out on a Mommy and Isaak date. Then the birthday party mom messaged me on Facebook, and said we were more than welcome to come if we wanted.

I left it up to Isaak. He at first wanted to go on a date. Then when he saw that everything was Spider-Man he changed his mind.

They even let Isaak in on the games. Such a nice family!

Isaak got really upset when the birthday boy started getting his gifts. I asked, "Why are you upset Isaak?" It wasn't because Isaak didn't get presents himself. He was upset because he couldn't pass the birthday boy a present.

Isaak won one of the games at the party. Mica was mad that Isaak won. He thought there should be prizes for everyone. I said, "Nope! It doesn't work that way son!" When the boys got home Isaak said, "Mica you can have my prize. I'd much rather have you enjoy it."

On Sunday Isaak was wanting whatever Mica wanted for breakfast. I said, "Isaak if Mica jumped off a bridge, would you do that to?" Isaak said, "Well ya I would! I'd have to go find Mica!"

Isaak is in a Giving stage. Mica's in a Me stage.

Does Spider-Man Wear Underwear?

Isaak was in his room getting his pjs on.

He said,"Mom does Spider-Man wear underwear? If Spider-Man doesn't wear underwear, I don't want to wear underwear!"

I said, "Isaak I'm pretty certain Spider-Man wears underwear." In reality I'm pretty certain I don't really know if Spider-Man wears underwear or not.

I put this on Facebook and these are the comments so far:
  • Pretty certain, but not like 100% certain....Hmmmm
  • How do you know, have you seen it? I vote no underwear, I don't see an underwear line.
  • Thong?
  • Spidey totally wears undies. When he fights bad guys his suit gets torn a lot. He can't be seen swinging home with his stuff hanging out.
Pretty insightful for a 4 year old to ask something that I have no answer for. Of course if Spider-Man doesn't wear underwear I don't want Isaak to be like him.

What do you think? Does Spider-Man wear underwear or not?

Trick or Treat Smell Their Feet

Isaak's all about running from the camera these days. Mica's all about posing.

I've posted their costumes on here before. There was the Y Superhero Party and they just randomly wanted to wear their costumes every so often. I bought them last year after Halloween. I should do that again, but I've probably missed the after Halloween specials by now. I've just been too busy.

Here they are on the night of Halloween:

Some of my other nephew's were Batman as well. Emerson wore his Batman costume into surgery on Halloween. Terra had an outfit underneath that said, "Is this a trick or a treat?" Very fitting. He got a bigger G Tube to make feeding him easier, a pick line port to put his chemo in. He got his first chemo drugs. He was cranky and has been throwing up. Let's hope he does well. Halloween wasn't so enjoyable for them. Their Daddy took their big boys, both as Batman out Trick or Treating.

Mica and Isaak had fun. A few neighbors handed them over full sized sodas, or pops (whatever you call it) and full sized candy bars. CRAZY! Isaak was scared of any scary house. Mica claims he doesn't get scared of anything.

Both boys enjoyed splitting up their candy so much. In fact Isaak asked to, "Play that game again." What he wanted to do was to split up his candy again. Daddy and I were both like, "It's already split up Isaak." Isaak didn't want to eat candy because it would be out of his stash. He's a hoarder. LOL Mica on the other hand is always hungry for ANYTHING! He asks for candy morning, day and night.

BTW I'm not looking forward to Daylight Savings Time. It sucks! I hate Daylight savings time! The boys have been needing to go to bed early. Isaak won't nap lately. No nap = PUNK ATTITUDE! When I'm fed up, I'm fed up. Off to bed you go!

Spider-Man and Batman

Isaak: "Can I go outside to play?"

Me: "Mica why don't you two go out and play."

Mica: "As long as I can dress up like Batman."

Me: "Really?"

Mica: "Ya. Oh and I want to dress Isaak up like Spider-Man."

I hear them getting their costumes on.

Isaak: "Why does Spider-Man have boobs Mica?"

Mica: "Those aren't boobs. Those are muscles."

Isaak: "Oh."

WW: Birthday Party {Linky}

We had Isaak and Cousin Evan's Spider-Man birthday party on Sunday night.

Here's my birthday boy Isaak (on his actual birthday):

He's gotten a summer hair cut since that day.

If you didn't get a chance to see their invite, here it is:

Isaak turned 4 and Evan turned 7.

Here were Mica and Isaak before the party:

I don't let them stand on the table normally ever, but I wanted to get the birthday sign in the background. Isaak tries to spin a web constantly when he has his costume on. Mica thinks he can do anything with those added muscles! He helped Daddy carry up all the folding chairs from the basement.

Dinner:

We made different three different types of fried chicken, couscous kenwa salad, Grandma Spiehs brought green beans, Aunt Terra brought watermelon. I made a punch and bought different types of lemonade at Whole Foods.

I made a Spider-Man Cake and Aunt Terra made a Spider-Man Logo Fruit Pizza.

I went to three different stores looking for chocolate graham crackers! I didn't know they'd be so hard to find! I took it outside to shoot very quickly. It was so hot! Spider-Man kept sinking. There were two birthday boy's, so two Spider-Men on the cake.

I changed the top to a different Spider-Man. Then he didn't look like he was in quick sand!

Isaak and Evan scored with presents. Isaak got craft stuff from Aunt Angela, a bug catcher and sunglasses from Aunt Terra, money from Great Grandpa Kent and a scooter and gear from Grandma and Grandpa Spiehs.

His helmet still needs to be adjusted.

Cake or Fruit Pizza?

I can't decide what to make for Isaak and Evan's joint birthday party! I need to decide!

I did decide this, I'm not using a ton of red and/or black food coloring!

Here's a Fruit Pizza I made for some other event:

If I make a Fruit Pizza, I'll put berries in the shape of Spider-Man's face or logo. Blueberries and black berries for the dark parts. Raspberries, strawberries and June berries for the red areas.

But...let's just face it kids want CAKE!

I thought about making a round cake. I'd frost it with white cream cheese frosting or blue cream cheese frosting where you can see the sky. It would be pretty cool if I did a gradient! Then the dark buildings that would be standing up vertically around the base of the cake would be chocolate graham crackers with yellow windows pipped on them. On the top of the cake would be a pipped web with a Spider-Man figure at the top.  Maybe 2 Spider-Men at the top for each birthday boy.

I wish they made Spider-Man Little People. They make all the other Super hero's. I know it's a different company that made Spider-man. Some are DC and some are Marvel, right? Super hero's are super hero's to me.

They make Batman. Mica LOVES Batman. Wouldn't a Spider-Man be cute?!

I need feedback! What do you think? I'm not saying I'll go with what you say (sorry). I just know I might change my mind after shopping.

Spidy Invite

I started working on the invites for Isaak and Cousin Evan's joint birthday party. I have the address included, but took it out to put up on here.

I used their Spider-Man pictures from the Y. They are turning 4 and 7. So what do you think?

WW: Superhero's to the Rescue! {Linky}

The Y had a Superhero Party. I took my two nephew's Evan and Elijah along with Mica and Isaak. They had so much fun! They all very much got into character! I had more pictures of Isaak and Elijah because they split all the kids up into 2 groups. I decided to hang out with the 3 year old's.

Isaak Spider-Man Pumping Iron!

Isaak Spider-Man and Elijah Batman.

Isaak Spider-Man wouldn't take his mask off for anything!
